“Dost” word is Turkish word. There is no correspond of this word in another language completely. “Dost” word is the combination of two words “friendship and brotherhood”, but it is more valuable and stronger than two of them. If you accepted to someone or some creature as “dost”, he/she/it would be your next in a life time, as being physical or not.
The beauty of life, is to share it with “dostlar.” Dostlar is plural form of dost word. Whether you’re from this planet or not, the important thing is what you have accumulated to your life with your dostlar.

Group Yorum sang this song in their 25. anniversary concert that they gave in Istanbul-Inonu Stadium which is legendary stadium of Besiktas football team. That concert has occured with the participation of 55.000 people. I was not in here that days. Two years later, I watched Iron Maiden concert in Inonu Stadium in 26 July, 2013 with my dostlar. This was the last concert before this legendary stadium was destroyed. Even some of us had planned taking one or two seats of stadium out as souvenir. After all, they will go to garbage, they could be historical souvenir. But it couldn’t be possible:) Iron Maiden concert was great. Better yet, Iron Maiden concert was given the Gezi Park resistance days. Even all we sang the “Fear of the dark” as “Fear of the Park”. That was the spirit of resistance, and to live this with Iron Maiden was spectacular! Anyway, that’s another issue 🙂
If we return back to Group Yorum, they are legendary music band which has left-wing as you can understand with their songs. They render the Anatolian folk songs in an original way. Even their concerts were taken under review by state many times. Already, the state doesn’t like left-wing. There are many words of Nazim Hikmet or Asık Veysel inside their songs. Already, the state doesn’t like them either. Anti-imperialism is inside of their songs. For example, like this song:

Turkey was never independent from 1950’s to today’s. It has been under USA hegemony. Thousands of people who aware of this have resisted, have been tortured, and killed. And still they are resisting. And this song is “Yankee go home” song of Turkey.

I have made many “dost” in Turkey. I have made many “dost” who against imperialism in diffrent parts on this planet. We laughed a lot of with together. I learned a lot of things from them. I have lived many good things with them, and I am living still. Some of them lost their lives, they don’t breathe on this planet anymore. But even if they breathe or not, wherever I go, they are always with me.

On the other hand, the American people are not entirely responsible for it. I know a lot of valuable American people like you, who do not want to tyranny. The people of Turkey is also responsible from this. Because they are voting for the pro-American govt. policies. Turkey is a country ruled by democracy, the voters are citizens of Turkey. Americans do not vote result for Turkey elections. And the election system is responsible, there is a %10 threshold in elections.

I apologize on behalf of all Americans haha. As for the word “dost” it is also the Urdu word for friend! We probably have alot of words in common, Turkish and Urdu, and this is just one of them 🙂

It is good to hear that dost word is used in Urdu language, dear Ars. But I do not think so they have common meaning. Let you explain. Dost word has placed from Persian “dauştā/dōst” word before 1300 years ago into Turkish. And in Persian that mean is “friend”. The words would evolve inside a new language. When the “dōst” word came into Turkish, there was already, and still there is a word for “friend” word. It is “arkadaş” and it’s using for “friend” word. And in Anatolia, the people use dost word as I told at my post begining, for “more than brotherhood and friendship”. As Napoleon said, the people see the world in their language. When Anatolian people say the dost word, they don’t mention just friend, they mention more valuable connection. That’s why I written in my post there is no correspond of it. Maybe I told in wrong way.

I wonder with the terror attack in Turkey…do you think it is maybe the equivalent of the Years of Lead in Italy (specifically the Strategy of Tension and also Operation Gladio)? Perhaps it is not safe for you to say. But I will say: Operation Gladio was carried out by NATO intelligence. This is what the government of Italy found out many years later. It is noteworthy that several of the Gladio attacks were in train stations. So I am wondering if the recent terror attack in Italy is a similar excuse for NATO to enter Syria with ground forces and try to stop the momentum of the wildly successful Russian air strikes. In any case, my heart goes out to you and the Turkish people. No one should be caught in the middle of such idiotic wars. –Paul

Thank you dear Earthling Paul:) And when I’ve read your comment, I was surprised again, because even if we are reside in a different corners of this planet, we don’t use same languages, we are reading and thinking with parallel opinions:) You’re possibly right. Because, under the title of the “Updated :At least 86 killed in twin bombings near train station in Turkey’s capital Ankara during “Peace Rally” in here, I mentioned about similar things over journalist Mehmet Ali Guller article to another my Earthling friend Ivar. And in same article he says that in the beginning of his article:”This is one of the most important lessons of last 65 years: If the real perpetrators of the bomb which exploded in a NATO country couldn’t be found, the owner this bomb is Gladio.” And in Turkey, I think in a different way from Italy, they will announce the socalled perpetrators. Because, this government returned this beautiful country into terrorists heaven! You know over 2,5 million Syrian refugees in here, and noone knows how many of them is ordinary Syrian citizen. And the government Syria policy is a disaster. You imagine my dear friend, this country was build with Ataturk’s beatiful foreign policy “The peace at homeland, the peace at world.” But right now, Turkey is almost seen a country that it fights with almost every country. They destroyed almost every basis of this country. Except Anatolian people, in the beginig at first place is NATO, everyone interferes Turkey’s policy. Who let them? Yes, I think same forces which are destroying Turkey are destroying USA. I don’t know what is the answer, but we speak the truth the best we can. We are honest and admit if we are wrong. This is the way of peace. The warmongers will become angry because they lose profits. And still we must make friends and be brave for peace. Every human has a responsibility in proportion to their power. Me, I do not have very much power, but I use my little power and try to take a stand against murder. No more murder. No more war. Yes, no one as individual does not have the power to change things by alone. However, a power can be created if people be together. Because of this, any state doesn’t like the people organizations, or meetings in real mean. The states think “If I am state, power is mine”. Now, in this century, the global companies which control to the states think like that instead of states: “If I have strength, they have to obey me.” Distortion is arising from here, isn’t it? People can call to account to the states at the polls. But there isn’t any ballot box that will vote to the global elite companies. People can not defeat with democracy to this uncover structure. But, it will end like every crooked layout, also people and extraterrestrials will be unity dear Earthling friend:)
