This is a riot lettering…

501-260

It cannot countinue like this, my friend…
We cannot live like this…
Every thought, every view is like a flover in the garden of freedom…
With this low pressure…
this northeaster…
this mistral…
unlivable…

This is a riot lettering…
The voices of our journalist friends are being heard from the prison loopholes. Even comedy shows were hanged by founding guilty. The father of martyr soldier was considered as traitor.
We cannot live an environment,
where the people who say own idea are lynched,
where the people who open their mouth are taken to behind the bars,
where the people who are not side with dictator are being dissipated,
eventually where everyone is silent…
(…..)
We cannot live in like an environment like this, waterless, landless, breathless
in a flower garden that the flowers were plucked.
*
We’re alone…
Everything is between the two lips of the power who is lacking in political morality, democracy culture, legal system…
We are like waterless and ligthness tulips against his passion that he removes whatever is bothering of him and in front of mentality that is shameless of commiting crime with hatred and grudge,
in the garden without flowers…
*
We are crestfallen…
My friend, if you live in legal state, you run the judiciary. In a democracy, alternative opposition is there. If there isn’t any of them, you go to the bosom of the nation.
But if any of them wasn’t left…
We’re the victims of stupid oppositions political parties in parliament,
that are unaware of their treason against the democracy.
We’re victims of judiciary that is judging the people who are not guilty and have closed the doors to justice.
We’re the victims of a nation that is not aware of what happened and in deep sleep.

This is a riot lettering…
When the all values which you can die, have went and when your hopes slipped from your heart,
you twiddle your pen in your palm…
Should I broke my pen or not?

Bekir Coskun is one of Turkey’s opposition journalists. In fact, he is famous for his humor and satire articles. He has been making honorable journalism for nearly 40 years in Turkey. Bekir Coskun was sued many times by Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his politicians of AKP(ruling party of Turkey last 14 years), because of his writings about them. A part of the situation of Turkey, has been told by his own style in this writing. The size of those which are not telling about Turkey’ situation in this writing are enough to fit a thick book.

  1. You have said that tyranny is the same all over the world, and not just in the country where I live.

After reading this, I see what you mean. This could have been written by me or anyone who sees, thinks and believes like me!

    • I know my Earthling friend! That’s why we should be in solidarity, actually have to be always. Because there isn’t too much except us who think like that, even in a country where we reside. We’re very few, we accept this. Sometimes, maybe we’re hopeless, and maybe in these days as Bekir Coskun said “we’re crestfallen”, but this bad situation of this planet is global. If there is something happen in a place far away from us, you know, eventually it will effect the place where we are. In this age it effects very soon. And this planet doesn’t deserve these bad politicians and capitalist/imperialist elites’ order and stupid greedy people who follow these politicians and elites; that’s why we all are in same situation, and we should be in solidarity always!

  2. It is beautiful writing to me! I wish for strength of spirit for those who are trying to say something different (like this journalist). It is so important! Just when the bullies want you to give up…this is when a person must stay strong. The opposition is meaningful when it doesn’t break. People may be jailed, but they don’t break. They may be killed, but they died honorably.

It is not for religion, but for free speech and thought.

Thank you to the brave people of Turkey for being honorable humans. We share your struggle and feel empathy for your pain. Our hearts hurt because your struggle is so difficult.

    • Your words are very meaningful, dear Earthling Paul! I don’t know when this order will finish, but I know that it will finish one day. Because every move has got the break point, in a basis like Newton’s action-reaction law. If the rulers are making a move, absolutely this move creates a reaction at opposition direction. This reaction would bring out a pressure point at the end. I don’t know what will be latest point of this reaction. Maybe it will be something little beside the all events that were experienced. And that day, we will talk about revolution. Not just for this region, for all planet. Because, Turkey is a country which has determinant influence of Muslim world with Iran, you know. This influence isn’t about money, is about culture and and historical. It has been always like that. The burden is heavy, and maybe that’s why the struggle of the opposite people of Turkey is so difficult.

By the way, there are something good things which came out because of this bad sitiation like rising humor. Humor/political humor is using always in every event, and the people evolve towards different thinking style. Already the Anatolia is a land where the humor writers or minstrels have been always so many and popular from the Ottoman era, because of Ottomans bully. This was a like different riot type and the people were using it with stories and poems. So, if you see any Anatolian people who laugh, you don’t think about “this should be mad, how he/she can laugh in front of these bad situations”, my dear Earthling friend:) Because if he/she laughs absolutely there is something he/she sees a humor and probably cannot tell due to the language lack.:)
