I knew I would post with this title one day! But I did not know which day will be. This song made me breathe today. Generation Z doesn’t know much them(no offense gen Z;) but they are Beethoven of this time for me. 🙂
And I am glad they are on the planet earth, glad they released this song today. I needed this, I know!
Thank you so much, you great Earthling musicians, Iron Maiden!
“The writing on the wall” by Iron Maiden
Written by Adrian Smith / Bruce Dickinson
Across a painted desert lies a train of vagabonds All that’s left of what we were it’s what we have become Once our empires glorious but now the empire’s gone The dead gave us the time to live and now our time is done
Now we are victorious we’ve become our slaves A land of hope and glory building graveyards for the brave
Have you seen the writing on the wall Have you seen that writing Can you see the riders on the storm Can you see them riding ~ can you see them riding
Holding on to jury is that all we ever know Ignorance our judge and jury all we’ve got to show From Hollywood to Babylon ~ holy war to kingdom come On a trail of dust and ashes ~ when the burning sky is done A tide of change is coming and that is what you fear The earthquake is a coming but you don’t want to hear You’re just too blind to see
Have you seen the writing on the wall Have you seen that writing Can you see the riders on the storm Can you see them riding Can you see them riding. . . Riding next to you
Edit comes after 1.5 days: I’ve listened to the song at least 15 times so far. My impressions:
-At first, it starts with southern rock air, although the classic Iron Maiden tone is immediately felt, the main emphasis is reaching a point with Adrian Smith solo and the chorus you can call this is Iron Maiden.
-When the song is listened to on youtube, Bruce’s voice is muffled as if embedded in instruments. Quality is not good. Much better if it is listened on Spotify.
-There are many political sub-themes and references with Eddie in the clip. There are also references to their previous album songs in at least 3 places. Although it has an epic and medieval atmosphere, while describing an apocalyptic world, it actually tells how important actors of this era brought humanity to this Mad Max like end.
-While defining the China, America and England trio, the question may come up in the clip why there is no Russia among the great powers with the images. However, with the song Mother Russia, I think Iron Maiden expressed its stance and opinion about Russia years ago. I think it is normal that Russia is not in the clip, because next to this trio, Russia seems like an angel.
-My preference is always the faster Iron Maiden rhythm. For this reason, I liked to listen to the song at 1.25 speed. Even though it wasn’t a Run to the Hills, it had a similar feel to it. 😉
-Song length is good. It could have been even longer and I think it would have been much better. The longer Iron Maiden songs are for me is the more satisfying; because they’re like a meal or feast I never want to end. 🙂
One think is sure! After the “coup d’état” in 2015, the Don Quixote imaginary Neo-Sultan of the New Ottoman Empire, Mr Erdogan seized all powers in his hand and made the army of the country his puppet.
People cannot protest peacefully in the country anymore. Even the LGBT gay pride was not authorized and people got arrested.
Historically, In 1858 the Ottoman Empire—the predecessor of the modern-day Republic of Turkey— adopted a new penal code, which no longer contained any explicit articles criminalizing homosexuality. The Ottoman Penal Code of 1858 was heavily influenced by the Napoleonic Code, as part of wider reforms during the Tanzimat period. LGBT people have had the right to seek asylum in Turkey under the Geneva Convention since 1951, but same-sex couples are not given the same legal protections available to heterosexual couples. Transgender people have been allowed to change their legal gender since 1988. Although discrimination protections regarding sexual orientation and gender identity or expression have been debated legally, they have not yet been legislated.
In response to the recent crackdown on the Istanbul Pride Parade, Freedom House issues the following statement:
“The continuing assault on LGBT+ people in Turkey was on full display with the use of tear gas and rubber bullets to prevent the Istanbul Pride March,” said Marc Behrendt, director of Europe and Eurasia programs at Freedom House. “This latest crackdown is part of a larger effort to roll back LGBT+ and women’s rights in Turkey, which also includes the withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention and the prosecution of Boğaziçi University students for holding rainbow flags. The government must stop the continuing assault on LGBT+ communities and guarantee fundamental rights protections of all people in Turkey.”
On June 26th, police used tear gas and fired rubber bullets to disperse the annual pride parade in Istanbul. At least 20 people, including Agence France-Presse (AFP) photographer Bülent Kılıç, were detained by the authorities. Kılıç was violently arrested, with police breaking his camera and pressing on his neck. AFP denounced Kılıç’s treatment, while Kılıç himself has filed a complaint against the police. The Istanbul pride parade has been banned since 2014, though participants have consistently marched in defiance of that ban. Four days before this year’s march, police forcefully dispersed a pride-week picnic in the city, detaining at least one person.
The crackdown on the Turkish LGBT+ community has intensified since Boğaziçi University students began protesting the appointment of Melih Bulu, an ally of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as rector in January. Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu later called student protesters “LGBT deviants,” after protesters disseminated a photograph that included Islamic and LGBT+ imagery. Twelve people who were detained in March after carrying a rainbow flag at a protest, meanwhile, faced their second judicial hearing earlier today.
In May, the European Region of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA-Europe) ranked Turkey the second-worst country in Europe for LGBT+ rights. On June 17th, Council of Europe (CoE) human rights commissioner Dunja Mijatović called on the Turkish government to respect the rights of LGBT+ people to assemble, criticizing the banning of pride marches and noting a “visible rise in hateful rhetoric and the propagation of homophobic narratives” by Turkish politicians and officials.
Turkey is rated Not Free in Freedom in the World 2021 and Not Free in Freedom on the Net 2020.
Analyzing the facts
However, at the same time, during the parade protest much worse things happened in the back streets of Istanbul, Taksim Istiklal Street (where the walk is intended). This district is called Cihangir.
Police forces attacked people sitting in cafes in Cihangir. People they were sitting there, some of them were unmasked as an excuse given by the police to attack them. We understand this from their speeches in the videos. Nonetheless, the police forces obviously intercepted any person whose appearance seemed “marginal” given the potential to participate in this parade, and then, they found the excuse to attack them. And when the customers of the cafes objected, they were arrested by the police force. Here is a twitter link:
The police forces , at that moment, lost its temper and even took their phone from someone’s hand, then most likely they deleted the footage. The police has the right from now on to do so as on April 30, 2021, the Turkish General Directorate of Security issued a circular stating that “it was decided to prevent people who recorded the images or voices of the police during the protests and to take legal action against them”.
“In the circular in question, it was argued that sharing the audio and video recordings of the police officers and civilians on social media “violates the privacy of private life”, while it was argued that receiving audio and video also prevented them from doing their duty.”
Already since the 15 July 2016 FETO coup attempt, Turkey has been governed mostly by the decrees of Tayyip Erdoğan and the circulars of such public institutions.
In this video, the young man walking to the side of the police bus says that he is a lawyer and that what they are doing is illegal, almost begging. But the female cop almost glues him to the vehicle. At the end of the video, a young woman protests and says there is abuse here. The police says there is not any abuse.
But beyond all that, there is something much more interesting in this short video. At the beginning of the video, it is seen that male and female policemen are waiting in line. And all of the female cops on line are not wearing headscarves. However, three of the three female police officers heading towards the bus and detained the young woman are wearing headscarves.
After the 2016 FETO coup attempt in Turkey, the recruitment of headscarved women into the army and police forces was enacted by the AKP government.
This was not legal in Turkey before in the kemalist period . And with the democratization approval period of accessing to the European Union, it became law to admit women without headscarves to the public institutions of Turkey.
Wearing a headscarf or not has no meaning for the West. But it does for Turkey. Since its establishment, it has applied a principle of secularism in that way. In other words, headscarved women, or men with fez or turban, or any religious symbol of any religion could not wear any official clothing in public until the last 5 years.
Why was this implemented? Turkey is a predominantly Sunni Muslim country. In the years it was founded, the literacy rate was around 12%. And it would not be wrong to say that the imams of mosques, which were in almost every neighborhood, were more involved in people’s lives and influenced the public. We know this from some imams who cooperated with the British during the War of Independence of Turkey, 1919-1923. And with the collapsing of the Ottoman sultanate, the loss of the caliphate and the fear of losing the power of some of the imams made them cooperate with those who invaded their country. And they did this not only on the basis of religion, but also on ethnic identity. The most important thing to do in this situation should have been to implement laws in order to prevent this. As stated in the second of the first three unalterable articles of the Turkish constitution, “The Republic of Turkey is a democratic, secular and social state of law.”
For this reason, all kinds of religious symbols were removed from the public domain. Because if even one of them were allowed, it would have been against the principle of secularism, and the already overwhelming influence of the Sunni Muslim majority in the country would increase.
However, the Western world pointed this law against free expression and life, by presenting Atatürk as a dictator, anything that is contrary to the founding principles of Turkey, and in a sense, contrary to the Republic of Turkey founded by Atatürk. According to our information and as most West politicians having influence at that time stated, they supported Tayyip Erdogan from the very beginning, supposedly saying in their own minds, “Yes, Atatürk was a dictator, but he was not our dictator, we need a dictator in our own hands”. Even if the EU says they do not support him sometimes, we can say that they use this just as a rhetoric, as EU countries have never come into conflict with the government of Tayyip Erdogan because it will influence the trade negatively.
It is obvious what kind of result a country like Turkey has had with the so-called democratization pressure on Turkey’s founding laws, by putting aside its internal dynamics, history and culture. Just like what happened in Cihangir last week.
If we go back to the video, it is a complete FETO tactic, especially if these three women wearing headscarves were given the task of detaining the young woman and acting while having in mind that these images will become widespread. FETO, too, had done its best to stir up every internal dynamic in Turkey and to materialize this.
Tayyip Erdogan and his government are aware of the bad situation of the country economically and socially. And it is very clear that they are thinking of creating an environment where they can put more pressure and increase the discomfort in the country by showing some dynamics dividing the society to “secular and non-secular” .
Isn’t that strange that Tayyip Erdogan his relatives and supporters behave in the same way with the FETO line tactics are still being applied while they are stating that they are against FETO movement?
“The citizen, who reacted to the sound bomb thrown by the police at the Pride Parade, saying “The child is sleeping”, was detained by the police.
And as the police chief instructions orders “Go upstairs and take him!” that citizen on the balcony has been taken into custody also.
Of course, this police violence was not limited to those who participated in the LTGB pride parade, the ones sitting in the coffee shops in the back streets of Istiklal road, journalists should not be forgotten. The press freedom reports regarding Turkey already are not heart-warming :
The report states that as of December 1, 2020, 274 journalists were still held in prison in the world, while China (47), Turkey (37) and Egypt (27) were among the top three in this list.”
Bulent Kılıc, photojournalist for the French news agency AFP, who was detained with the harsh intervention of the police during the 19th Pride Parade in Taksim, Istanbul, was one of these journalists.
“The reporter who followed the Pride Parade was detained after being suffocated by his throat.”
Kılıc, who shared on his Twitter account, used the following statements:
“I was intended to be killed, I was intended to be left breathless. I will hold accountable for whoever did this to me, in the Constitutional Court, European Human Rights, whatever, whatever court in this world, it will be held accountable in court as long as I live. It will not be left for the Supreme Court.”
These are some of the photos in LTGB pride by Bulent Kılıç took before he was taken into custody
This is what happened in Turkey in just a day or even a few hours. It is obvious that the censorship applied in Turkey is one of the worst during nowadays and this kind of dictatorial pressure must end soon in the country.
Some time after we opened our blog, WD and I got a Twitter account. Our Twitter account opening date is 2014. We were going to tweet to support the blog. Of course it was not like that, because we were very busy. We logged in from time to time to keep it open. We haven’t used it for many years. Until about 2 years ago. We started to use Twitter more often. Then the pandemic started and we spent more time on Twitter.
This time was stopped at Tue, 4 May, 2021, 2:08 pm. Because our account has been locked by Twitter.
The reason was as follows in the notification was sent to the email account by Twitter. “Your account has been locked for violating the Twitter Rules. Specifically for: Violating our rules against promoting or encouraging suicide or self-harm.”
The tweet that caused this result was also: “Eliminate yourself for the sake of universe.”
When I look at the dictionary, “eliminate” has 6 meanings. Although they are close to each other, the meanings are used in different places. But for some reason the Twitter user who reported/complained me (most likely the person I wrote this tweet who reporting me), to Twitter on what I wrote in a totally sarcastic thought.
He/she was a liberal, judging everyone under the original tweet according to his/her own narrow patterns. In fact, same person was called a troll account, as far as I remember.
Until today, I was sweared by some people, especially in the last year on Twitter. Even once, because of I am an atheist, a twitter user even wrote me by swear words (via a picture of a church pastor with a kalashnikov) that he will destroy me. But I haven’t complained/reported anyone. Cursing belongs to the person who swears, it does not make me smaller. Already I can deal with such people and silence them without cursing.
With this complaint/report on Twitter, Twitter immediately emailed me and have locked my account to show how serious they were on this issue.
Already with Twitter logic, for example, if I hadn’t used “eliminate”, but used the Dalek meme in Dr. Who, it wouldn’t be a problem, but whatever. Now, let’s not stop millions of people using the Dalek meme on Twitter.;)
Our main subject is not my tweet anyway in this post, the main issue is what Twitter did afterwards.
Once I told the incident to Twitter according to myself, but they returned to me with a refusal. Because apparently, while dozens of attacks on personal rights happening, fake news and propagandas flying around, horrifying images were in front of everyone on Twitter, it was a huge thing that I did next to them! And possibly even the person I tweeted, after reading my tweet, suddenly stood up and threw himself/herself out of the window. Of course that can be.:) After all, I said “okay”, eventually Twitter would not say they made a mistake.
They sent me this against my request:
Our support team has determined that a violation did take place, and therefore we will not overturn our decision.
You will not be able to access Twitter through your account due to violations of the Twitter Rules, specifically our rules around:
“Violating our rules against promoting or encouraging suicide or self-harm”
In order to restore account functionality, you can resolve the violations by logging into your account and completing the on-screen instructions.
The last paragraph is important, because now the most exciting part begins!
“In order to restore account functionality, you can resolve the violations by logging into your account and completing the on-screen instructions.“
So what did I need to do? I needed to log in my account and follow the instructions to resolve the issue.
But, when I’ve opened the log in panel, I have met following scene:
Hmm? Have I ever added any phone number to my twitter account? NO.
Does Twitter always say “phone number” or “email address” are optional for users to choose one of them in many place of Twitter policy or terms on use or etc? YES.
Verifying account ownership: To ensure that violators do not abuse the anonymity we offer and harass others on the platform, we may require the account owner to verify ownership with a phone number or email address. This also helps us identify violators who are operating multiple accounts for abusive purposes and take action on such accounts. Note that when an account has been locked pending completion of a challenge (such as being required to provide a phone number), it is removed from follower counts, Retweets, and likes until a phone number is provided.
Can you look at the difference between the first sentence and the last sentence, especially the bold words? It actually seems to have similar meanings, but it’s not. Twitter creates space to expand its range of motion and restrict users’ range of motion.
Twitter may also ask/verify for a “phone number” on your account to ensure you do not repeat the same action later, even if you have never registered a phone number into your account. It is not certain, but there is such a possibility.
In other words, when there are so many malicious Twitter users, Twitter can use this gap because of a word “eliminate” for the users like me. So, on like the users, who never cursed or exhibited bad and harmful behaviour during 7 years, they see that they have right to apply this gap in their terms on us!
But on the other side this might be actually a security gap for them.
How come? Like that:
I use Twitter on my home computer. I do not have such Twitter application on the phone. For this reason, I have never saved a phone number in Twitter account. Because even at the beginning, when you create an account, you will see a screen like this:
What does “use phone instead” mean? Is there a meaning for Twitter?
For a user like me it means that I could use or not, this is my option. But it seems it does not like that for Twitter.
Let’s say this requested phone number (that number that has not been registered in the account until today by me) was given and the instructions were followed. How the second stage of this will be, that is, crosscheck?
So how will Twitter know that this phone number belong to me?
Twitter may say, “but we sent you an email.”
But what if my email address was hacked? Then it means that the hackers will be able to access my twitter account by giving any phone number?
What do you think Twitter???
As a result,
I will not log into the account by typing in any phone number.
Because I am not an account owner who will constantly repeat the same “violation” action that Twitter wants to determine, if Twitter choose to put me in that category.
I also find it unacceptable for Twitter to act with the idea of putting me in this category.
If Twitter wants to put me in another category and validate themselves in that way (while there is no other category that they can ask phone number and put me in, inside all their rules), I wish them success on this tricking path!
If Twitter asked me to save me the phone number from begining according to their terms, then I could think.
But if Twitter didn’t ask a phone number at all and tries to record it this way now, what is it if not forcing!
I get really sick of this planet where everyone is trying to put pressure on everyone more or less, secretly or openly, forcing something! Actually this is the focusing point of this post!
In addition, while Twitter forcing me to give a phone number in this way, those who have locked accounts due to similar reasons with me can access their account (the ones whose phone number is before registered, by entering this number for following instructions) when I cannot access my account, it shows that Twitter takes the same rights from some of the users, depending on different practices in same rules.
Twitter today may think that implicitly asking for it in this way does not create a security vulnerability, since mine is an account with low followers. But when one day they try to open a similar backdoor, if this way of Twitter runs into a few big accounts, then I think they will understand what these are costing.
By the way, three requests with the same content I sent to Twitter were not replied in last 5 days. Simply I asked Twitter to direct me to a panel on screen which allows me to contuniue via email address, not telephone number.
So if you’ve heard that Twitter helps you a lot for your problems, that part is a huge gas cloud. It could even be a nebula.
They were confident and speed replied me about why my account was locked on the same day, (in about 5 hours if I am not mistaken), while they did not respond to such an important issue for 5 days.
Under all these circumstances, my account will most likely be closed totally, because Twitter has made this happen to a user, and has not come up with a solution. Because I will never enter a phone number. This is my decision. Because Twitter shouldn’t have tried to get a phone number from me this way via backdoors.
I note my decision as one of those times when I took a firm stand against something inaccurate, for my own history. Twitter, you too note this to your “glorious success(!)” history too!
Think of an island; it is one of the places people hear the most often. An island, a place where almost every rich state on world wants to get a share because of an interest, the citizens do not have much of a right to speak, but somehow, an island that is introduced to the world as if the citizens have a voice, by the rulers and power holders. It’s actually a heavenly place. But…
Very strange things have been happening on this island for about 1.5 years. Yes, everything has started after the pandemic in Cyprus.
Let’s look at what has happened only since January 10 in Cyprus, without mentioning what happened last year for now.
In these days, if you are a Cyprus citizen, you must fill the forms such as “DECLARATION OF CITIZEN’S MOVEMENT BY EXCEPTION” on your way out home. The first document on the Cyprus Government Press and Information Office web page side link.
According to this document, if you are a Cyprus citizen, you have to send an SMS to the state’s SMS-based data system every time you go out and let them know where you are going. In fact, the government has been so helpful(!) in this regard because in the second document on the same link, “it has divided your departure locations and departure purposes into categories for WITHOUT LIMITATION 3 HOURS”. Then, the data sytem will not get confused, haha! How thoughtful they are!
In the same document, according to article 6, if I was living in there, I have been in truble, because they would have limited WD’s movement too. Article 6. “In what cases is movement by exception permitted without sending a text message?” Item 2: “for walking a domestic animal or for physical exercise, provided that the movement is limited to the area adjacent to the residence (within a radius of 500 m from the residence) and provided that no more than two persons are present, except for minor children accompanied by their parents.”
What! 500 m? Are you serious! Limiting it to 500 meters means for us WD can’t go to his favorite park and see his friends!
Again, according to the same article, places of worship are allowed, you can go without sending an SMS to those places. So you don’t need to send an SMS to go to places of worship where many people can be collectively and quicly you can get Covid-19, but you have to send an SMS to buy a box of milk from the convenience store.
I guess the tourists are 100% immune to Covid-19 for reasons that are not yet known. Covid-19 also scared in front of tourists. The scientific world needs to examine this issue. Maybe when you switch to tourist identity, you switch from human to another species, and your genetics change.:)
Or, it is necessary to admit how absurd and unfair this is to the people of Cyprus and to deal with all events from the beginning!
Likewise Cyprus, there are other countries on this planet that do not enforce the restrictions on tourists. The main item is not actually protecting its own people from Covid-19, as seen. The main item is money, money, money.
This is a dystopian movie. The story of the sovereigns who have a magnificent trump card like Covid-19 in their hands. It is the human species who came here with a tourist identity. When he returns to his own country, probably he will experience the same thing tomorrow. But we said it’s a dystopian movie. He is a tourist now and will only wake up when he returns to his home.
Are you aware of the danger? These have been happening in Cyprus nowadays, but who knows which country citizens experience these tomorrow?
You might say “nothing happens to me, I live in an EU country, or another country with (so-called) civilization at the top. But let’s not forget that Cyprus is an EU member. And it does apply this to its own people as an EU member country. It also bases these applications entirely on European Commission missions.
A name stands out here: Stella Kyriakides (she is vice-president in Cyprus since 2013) is European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety since 1 December 2019.
On this link there is “Mission letter” which was sent by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission to Stella Kyriakides in 1 December 2019. While reading many fancy sentences, some interesting points in the letter mean a lot to those who want to see it.
For example, Ursula von der Leyen says under the title “Protecting and promoting public health” to Stella Kyriakides in page 4:
“I want you to look at ways to help ensure Europe has the supply of affordable medicines to meet its needs. In doing so, you should support the European pharmaceutical industry to ensure that it remains an innovator and world leader.” Hmm, I wonder what needs to be done to keep the big pharma in Europe as the world leader?
In page 5, she says:
“We need to make the most of the potential of e-health to provide high-quality healthcare and reduce inequalities. I want you to work on the creation of a European Health Data Space to promote health-data exchange and support research on new preventive strategies, as well as on treatments, medicines, medical devices and outcomes. As part of this, you should ensure citizens have control over their own personal data.”
“You should ensure citizens have control over their own personal data,” is one of the fancy sentences. As far as we know, this having control issue is not working with one side. This is a double-sided knife, and for some reason one side, that is, the side that the government controls this system, is sharper for some reasons(!), but that’s not mentioned here, of course. As I have said, this is one of the fancy sentences.
If you ask why I mentioned European Health Data Space as bold letters upper, now we come to that subject.
According to European Health Data Space web page and some other links, “The creation of a European Data Space is one of the priorities of the Commission 2019-2025, including the health sector. “
This year in February (as far as I have understood) it should have been launched but it did not. And according to web page “It will build on and potentially scale up existing initiatives such as the eHealth Digital Service Infrastructure, the European Reference Networks and the Genomics project.”
“build on and potentially scale up Genomics projects!“
Lets remember what is the Genomics “Genomics, study of the structure, function, and inheritance of the genome (entire set of genetic material) of an organism. A major part of genomics is determining the sequence of molecules that make up the genomic deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) content of an organism.”
If the human species were an ideal species, and had given equal rights to every member of its species, and acted in an unprofitable manner for the true improvement of its species, I would be in favor of somehow gathering and evaluating data for health. However, the human species is not such a species. Besides, what does a database that is said to be a human health priority have to do with Genomic projects? Someone can explain it to me?
You see, the subject is so deep that when you take one out, like Matryoshka Dolls, continuously new one comes out of inside it, haha!
Brief summary of what we have seen so far in this article:
-The people of Cyprus are under pressure with the state’s Covid-19 so-called measures.
-These measures are applied only to the public and not to tourists.
-These measures are based on the European Commission missions.
-Stella Kyriakides, is Cyprus vice president also European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety
-The letter of assignment sent to her concerns not only the island but the whole of Europe.
-Stella Kyriakides needs to work to ensure that European big pharma monopolies do not lose their world leadership, and one of her duties is to help build the European Health Data Space.
-And one mission of European Health Data Space is to scale up Genomic projects.
Let’s now turn back again the “Mission letter” which was sent by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission to Stella Kyriakides in 1 December 2019, page 5
“Many of today’s epidemics are linked to the rise or return of highly infectious diseases. I want you to focus on the full implementation of the European One Health Action Plan against Antimicrobial Resistance and work with our international partners to advocate for a global agreement on the use of and access to antimicrobials.”
She is mentioning Antimicrobial medicines and again a number of international partners and a global agreement for these. What does she mean, hmm?:)
It is also great that she winked in the last sentence at the end of the letter.
“I look forward to working losely together at that is an exciting and testing time for our Union. You can of course count on my full personal and political support throughout our mandate.”
Actually, both Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission and Stella Kyriakides, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety are the humans who can make heroic speeches when the time comes. We should be fair to them!
Stella Kyriakides, Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, said: “It is only by working together globally, in solidarity, that we can defeat the coronavirus. We need an inclusive international approach and as we are showing today, Team Europe – European Commission and EU Member States – is committed to ensuring the success of the COVAX Facility and facilitating access to a vaccine in an equitable manner for all people across the world.”
Very touching and heroic!
Let’s state that, COVAX Facility, co-led by Gavi, (she mentioned in her speech) was launched at the end of April 2020 at an event co-hosted by the Director-General of the World Health Organization, the President of France, the President of the European Commission, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Any ringing bell?
By the way, if you ask what the people of Cyprus are doing? They are trying to make their voices. However, every protest they make is violently suppressed!
The world has turned a blind eye to what is happening in Cyprus. A period when almost everyone is in a difficult situation in some way; this is understandable. However, it seems that there is a disappearance of individual freedoms and an agenda that is not yet known what is in the background. There is no such thing as little or most of individual freedoms. If you start to lose, the rest will follow, and you will have nothing left.
The individual freedoms of the people of Cyprus are our individual freedoms. Likewise, the individual freedoms of tourists who go to that island and pretend that nothing is happening, everything is normal. Because this topic really concerns everyone.
Cyprus is an island which has about 876.000 human population.
From this point of view, and considering what has happened so far, it looks like Cyprus is an ideal place as we’ve seen in the some movies where people are the subject of testing. There always will of course be those who need a test space to adapt some things to the whole planet next!
Of course, there are many aspects of this subject that will be discussed more. We will follow all these and what will happen in the future in Cyprus. Always solidarity with the people of Cyprus and all the oppressed peoples alike! Nobody is in a position to complain or cry. There is always a way out and hope in every situation. It just needs awakening for whole people on the planet!
Because all this plan and program on:
“Surveillance for governments, Slavery for humans, Benefit for rich”
(Yes, I was inspired by The Witcher for this sentence, so what.;))
The cabinet on Wednesday night decided to reopen most closed businesses and to introduce a so-called Coronapass for people to be allowed into hospitality venues, churches, gyms, and other places starting Monday, while keeping an overnight curfew.
A Coronapass entails either having a 72-hour-old negative PCR/rapid test for Covid or having received at least one dose of a vaccine three weeks earlier or having contracted the virus in the past six months.
A curfew will remain in force between 11pm and 5am with the following exceptions: travelling to and from work; visiting a medical centre or hospital or pharmacy or vet for an emergency; no need to send a text for permission before going out.
Schools will reopen with physical presence with pupils having to submit to a weekly rapid antigen test. Gymnasium, lyceum, and certain primary school years would have to present a 72-hour-old test on the first day, May 10.
“Should it be of concern to the general public that the makers of the Oxford-AstroZeneca vaccine have significant ties to what was the British Eugenics Society?
Should that information in fact have been made public knowledge? And why hasn’t it been picked up on by any mainstream media sources?
Whitney Webb and Jeremy Lofreddo, writing at Unlimited Hangout have done thorough work in demonstrating the links between the vaccine developers to what used to be called the British Eugenics Society, as well as related eugenics organisations such as the Wellcome Trust.
The vaccine’s development, it appears, is linked to both the Wellcome Trust and – via Adrian Hill – to the Galton Institute: two organisations that it appears have long been tied to the British eugenics movement. It’s the Galton Institute, ‘named to honour “the father of eugenics” Francis Galton’, that previously went under the name British Eugenics Society.
As Webb and Lofreddo explain, the UK Eugenics Society was ‘notorious for its promotion of racist pseudoscience and efforts to “improve racial stock” by reducing the population of those deemed inferior for over a century.’
Shouldn’t it be of concern that organisations such as this should be involved in the development of a mass-produced vaccine intended to be injected into millions of people? As the article notes, the Oxford-AstroZeneca vaccine seems to be the one most likely to be pushed on the developing countries, particularly in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
As it also notes, members of the Galton Institute have in the past called for a reduction in population growth in those parts of the world. Which is hardly a comforting precedent…”
I don’t know how many days have passed. Actually, I am not counting. Half of my brain rejects and doesn’t accept your physical absence. Likewise for WD, even he thinks you have settled on an island and enjoy your days with drinking and beatiful ladies by listening good music far away from all people and extraterrestrials. And that’s why he thinks that someday you’ll send him mail to come to your side to that island. Of course, he thinks to go without telling me by running away from me.
I don’t know how many days have passed, but some things are half. You know, for example sometimes when you’re going to laugh, the edge of your lip wouldn’t curl up and you somehow refuse to laugh. You take a deep breath and wait for the second chance for joy. You can’t laugh long. This is something like this. This has been something like this for last months.
I’ve thought of writing a post about you, but I couldn’t. Because I know there is a fear that when I write, I will really accept your absence. Plus, already what can I write and what can I fit here, if I try to write from in all those years of good friendship? Nonsense. I will never write.
But I know that I don’t need to accept it. I do not intend to accept either. Because you will be with me as long as I breath and walk on this universe.
And someday I will be under those 41 olive trees in that far country, just as we talked about, and you will somehow be with me, with us again. Yes, I will probably drink a lot that day.:) Just like I will raise a glass on your every birthday, our precious earthling friend Dave.
