“Le fascisme, ce n’est pas d’empêcher de dire, c’est d’obliger à dire.” Roland Barthes
“Fascism is not about preventing people from saying, it is about forcing people to say.” So, contrary to popular belief, fascism is not “to be silenced”, it is obligatory to say. Your silence don’t save you, you have to say what fascism wants.
While almost the entire western world condemns Putin and Russia with fascism, let’s look at the other side. What about the west, which has overdone the condemnation? Let’s look at what has been done to the Russians in the last 5 days under the name of boycott and sanctions by west.
The text under the photo of Valery Gergiev in the BBC news report is tragicomic: “Valery Gergiev, a supporter of President Putin, has failed to condemn the invasion of Ukraine” So he had to succeed, but he failed, aha! Instead of saying they fired an artist for not speaking on what they want, this sentence was inserted in news. Where is the freedom of speech, that EU defends at every opportunity? Well, it is so-called defending of EU, as we have seen.
…World Athletics president Sebastian Coe said sport had to “step up and join efforts to end this war”…
Badminton The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has banned all athletes and officials representing Russia and Belarus. Basketball The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) said it would ban Russian athletes and officials from its competitions until further notice. Biathlon The International Biathlon Union (IBU) said it would not allow athletes to represent Russia and Belarus but would invite individual athletes from these countries to compete as neutrals. Climbing The International Sport Climbing Federation (IFSC) suspended the Boulder and Speed World Cup scheduled for April in Moscow. It plans to relocate the event. Curling The World Curling Federation proposed the introduction of a new rule which, if approved, would allow the federation to ban Russia from the upcoming World Championships. Gymnastics The International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) cancelled all its events in Russia and Belarus, adding it would not allocate other events to the two countries until further notice.
There are many more sports in the content of the news, I only quoted some of them.
Someone really explain to me how banning the athletes will prevent Russia from attacking Ukraine. So you ban these people because they voted for Putin, whom you define as a dictator? But you were already saying that the elections in Russia are not democratic? Or didn’t you say, people are under great pressure in Russia, the elections are dubious. What a dilemma is this. Or do you want these athletes to defect to the west or something? Maybe if there is a defector, there will be a chance to create a hero story to the west and the movie will be made; is this your hidden aim, haha!
All aside, these are athletes. ATHLETE. What does this word mean to you, I think it’s nothing!
The Czech Republic’s chief prosecutor has warned that expressing support for Russia’s attack on Ukraine could be a criminal offence, punishable by imprisonment.
…
The Public Prosecutor’s Office appealed for Czech citizens to stay within the confines of the country’s constitutional and legal restrictions. Although freedom of expression is stipulated in the Czech constitution, meaning everyone has the right to express their views, it also has its limits just as in any democratic state.
This means that “under certain conditions”, anyone publicly supporting or praising the leaders of the Russian Federation regarding the country’s attack on Ukraine could face criminal charges, including at demonstrations or even online, Striz said.
In a new round of sanctions targeting Russia, the EU executive announced the two media, controlled by the Russian state, would no longer be broadcast in the bloc.
“We will ban the Kremlin’s media machine in the EU,” said Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, adding that Brussels was “developing tools to ban [the] toxic and harmful disinformation in Europe” of the two Moscow-funded channels and their subsidiaries.
Tweets with URLs to Russian state media sites such as RT and Sputnik will now come with labels, as tech continues to take a stand on Russia.
Twitter has said it is adding labels to all tweets that link to Russian state-affiliated media sites and taking steps to curb their reach to prevent the spread of misinformation surrounding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
In fact, Twitter is currently working on an algorithm that tags not only Sputnik employees, but also the personal accounts of journalists and even former employees, even the people who never work for Sputnik. Are we surprised?
her personal account:
Twitter, kişisel hesabımı "Rus devletine bağlı medya" diye etiketlemiş. Evet bu da oldu. pic.twitter.com/6kHcA58ocp
Translation of tweet: Twitter tagged my personal account as “media affiliated with the Russian state”. Yes, that happened too.
Former employee:
translation of tweet: Twitter tagged my profile because of @sputnik_TR, which I have been working with for nearly four years. Our paths parted eight months ago. I have been working in another company since then.
He never worked with any Russian media:
Ben hayatımda Rusya'yla bağlantılı hiçbir medya kurumunda çalışmadım, ne iş bu? pic.twitter.com/QFOLju07VJ
Translation of tweet: “I have never worked with any media linked with Russia. What is this?
What Twitter does is not labelling, it’s tagging and targeting. Is there any other explanation for this?
Meanwhile, TGS (Turkish Journalists’ Union) reacted to the EU decision: In times of crisis, journalism is as necessary as bread and water for all societies.
The Contemporary Journalists Association (CGD) reacted to Twitter, which labeled Sputnik employees as ‘media affiliated with the Russian state’. In the statement made by the association, a call was made to “end the application immediately”.
DISK Press Working, affiliated to the revolutionary labor unions confederation of Turkey, again condemned Twitter.
But, our list about media ban, not only limited with Twitter, here is the list:
Instagram has blocked all RT accounts in 27 European countries
YouTube has blocked Russian channels RT and Sputnik in Europe “taking into account the ongoing war in Ukraine”, the video-sharing platform said on Tuesday.
“We are blocking the YouTube channels of RT and Sputnik in the whole of Europe with immediate effect. Our systems need a little time before being fully operational,” YouTube said in an email to AFP.
Microsoft has removed RT from its Windows app store globally. The company is also de-ranking RT and Sputnik in Bing and will not show ads from Russian state-sponsored media, Reuters reports. Roku initially barred RT on its streaming devices in Europe, but is now removing the app in all markets including the United States. Google has blocked RT’s Android app in Ukrainian territory at the request of the government there, Reuters reports, though the app remains available elsewhere. It has also blocked the YouTube channels for RT and Sputnik in Europe, and has barred RT from earning ad revenue on YouTube. Meta (Facebook’s parent company) has blocked users from accessing RT and Sputnik content in Europe and barred the outlets from earning ad revenue on its platforms. TikTok has also blocked users from accessing RT and Sputnik content in Europe. After this story was published, DirecTV confirmed to Axios that it is immediately dropping RT America from its channel lineup. Applepulled the RT and Sputnik apps from the App Store on Tuesday afternoon, while also pausing sales of its products in Russia.
Warner Bros, Disney and Sony have halted the release of films in Russian cinemas, after the invasion of Ukraine.
The announcements mean the releases of major movies The Batman, Turning Red and Morbius will now not go ahead as scheduled in the country.
They come as governments around the world have been ramping up their sanctions against Moscow.
Really, in the face of all this, your mental health needs to be like steel to live on this planet. There is no way to explain what has been done to today’s Z generation or to the future generations.
Also, I would like to add a few sanctions against the Russians: Prohibition of drinking vodka. Not to open more than twice the matryoshka dolls. Recall of dogs gifted to Putin.
As last, while I am writing this post, Joe Biden talking and says that “Throughout our history we’ve learned this lesson when dictators do not pay a price for their aggression they cause more chaos. They keep moving.”
And I say that dictatorships no longer have borders. Dictatorships continue with fascism, not democracy. What is done against Russian artists, media workers, athletes is fascism, and it seems that it is done under the borders of a greater dictatorship. This is not democracy. And those who applaud it today will not find a branch to hold on to when this fascism comes to their doorstep tomorrow.
Edit: It’s been 6 hours since I published this post and new nonsenses about today, new bans in the name of support(!) Ukraine as following.
-Sweden, Norway and Finland stopped the sale of Russian vodka in the country due to Moscow’s military action against Ukraine. (I think someone read this post and heeded my suggestion above, haha!) -The University of Milan-Bicocca in Italy canceled the lecture by Paolo Nori on Dostoevsky. (Crime and punishment, Fyodor, haha!) -Netflix halts filming of Tolstoy’s adaptation of Anna Karenina
It’s best to leave the planet for a while, or I have no stomach anymore of this nonsense.
One think is sure! After the “coup d’état” in 2015, the Don Quixote imaginary Neo-Sultan of the New Ottoman Empire, Mr Erdogan seized all powers in his hand and made the army of the country his puppet.
People cannot protest peacefully in the country anymore. Even the LGBT gay pride was not authorized and people got arrested.
Historically, In 1858 the Ottoman Empire—the predecessor of the modern-day Republic of Turkey— adopted a new penal code, which no longer contained any explicit articles criminalizing homosexuality. The Ottoman Penal Code of 1858 was heavily influenced by the Napoleonic Code, as part of wider reforms during the Tanzimat period. LGBT people have had the right to seek asylum in Turkey under the Geneva Convention since 1951, but same-sex couples are not given the same legal protections available to heterosexual couples. Transgender people have been allowed to change their legal gender since 1988. Although discrimination protections regarding sexual orientation and gender identity or expression have been debated legally, they have not yet been legislated.
In response to the recent crackdown on the Istanbul Pride Parade, Freedom House issues the following statement:
“The continuing assault on LGBT+ people in Turkey was on full display with the use of tear gas and rubber bullets to prevent the Istanbul Pride March,” said Marc Behrendt, director of Europe and Eurasia programs at Freedom House. “This latest crackdown is part of a larger effort to roll back LGBT+ and women’s rights in Turkey, which also includes the withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention and the prosecution of Boğaziçi University students for holding rainbow flags. The government must stop the continuing assault on LGBT+ communities and guarantee fundamental rights protections of all people in Turkey.”
On June 26th, police used tear gas and fired rubber bullets to disperse the annual pride parade in Istanbul. At least 20 people, including Agence France-Presse (AFP) photographer Bülent Kılıç, were detained by the authorities. Kılıç was violently arrested, with police breaking his camera and pressing on his neck. AFP denounced Kılıç’s treatment, while Kılıç himself has filed a complaint against the police. The Istanbul pride parade has been banned since 2014, though participants have consistently marched in defiance of that ban. Four days before this year’s march, police forcefully dispersed a pride-week picnic in the city, detaining at least one person.
The crackdown on the Turkish LGBT+ community has intensified since Boğaziçi University students began protesting the appointment of Melih Bulu, an ally of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as rector in January. Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu later called student protesters “LGBT deviants,” after protesters disseminated a photograph that included Islamic and LGBT+ imagery. Twelve people who were detained in March after carrying a rainbow flag at a protest, meanwhile, faced their second judicial hearing earlier today.
In May, the European Region of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA-Europe) ranked Turkey the second-worst country in Europe for LGBT+ rights. On June 17th, Council of Europe (CoE) human rights commissioner Dunja Mijatović called on the Turkish government to respect the rights of LGBT+ people to assemble, criticizing the banning of pride marches and noting a “visible rise in hateful rhetoric and the propagation of homophobic narratives” by Turkish politicians and officials.
Turkey is rated Not Free in Freedom in the World 2021 and Not Free in Freedom on the Net 2020.
Analyzing the facts
However, at the same time, during the parade protest much worse things happened in the back streets of Istanbul, Taksim Istiklal Street (where the walk is intended). This district is called Cihangir.
Police forces attacked people sitting in cafes in Cihangir. People they were sitting there, some of them were unmasked as an excuse given by the police to attack them. We understand this from their speeches in the videos. Nonetheless, the police forces obviously intercepted any person whose appearance seemed “marginal” given the potential to participate in this parade, and then, they found the excuse to attack them. And when the customers of the cafes objected, they were arrested by the police force. Here is a twitter link:
Cihangir’de polis gözaltılara tepki gösteren mekanlarda oturan herkesi gözaltına alıyor. Gazetecilerin çekim yapmadına da müdahale ediliyor. pic.twitter.com/V6Yxb3840q
The police forces , at that moment, lost its temper and even took their phone from someone’s hand, then most likely they deleted the footage. The police has the right from now on to do so as on April 30, 2021, the Turkish General Directorate of Security issued a circular stating that “it was decided to prevent people who recorded the images or voices of the police during the protests and to take legal action against them”.
“In the circular in question, it was argued that sharing the audio and video recordings of the police officers and civilians on social media “violates the privacy of private life”, while it was argued that receiving audio and video also prevented them from doing their duty.”
Already since the 15 July 2016 FETO coup attempt, Turkey has been governed mostly by the decrees of Tayyip Erdoğan and the circulars of such public institutions.
In this video, the young man walking to the side of the police bus says that he is a lawyer and that what they are doing is illegal, almost begging. But the female cop almost glues him to the vehicle. At the end of the video, a young woman protests and says there is abuse here. The police says there is not any abuse.
But beyond all that, there is something much more interesting in this short video. At the beginning of the video, it is seen that male and female policemen are waiting in line. And all of the female cops on line are not wearing headscarves. However, three of the three female police officers heading towards the bus and detained the young woman are wearing headscarves.
After the 2016 FETO coup attempt in Turkey, the recruitment of headscarved women into the army and police forces was enacted by the AKP government.
This was not legal in Turkey before in the kemalist period . And with the democratization approval period of accessing to the European Union, it became law to admit women without headscarves to the public institutions of Turkey.
Wearing a headscarf or not has no meaning for the West. But it does for Turkey. Since its establishment, it has applied a principle of secularism in that way. In other words, headscarved women, or men with fez or turban, or any religious symbol of any religion could not wear any official clothing in public until the last 5 years.
Why was this implemented? Turkey is a predominantly Sunni Muslim country. In the years it was founded, the literacy rate was around 12%. And it would not be wrong to say that the imams of mosques, which were in almost every neighborhood, were more involved in people’s lives and influenced the public. We know this from some imams who cooperated with the British during the War of Independence of Turkey, 1919-1923. And with the collapsing of the Ottoman sultanate, the loss of the caliphate and the fear of losing the power of some of the imams made them cooperate with those who invaded their country. And they did this not only on the basis of religion, but also on ethnic identity. The most important thing to do in this situation should have been to implement laws in order to prevent this. As stated in the second of the first three unalterable articles of the Turkish constitution, “The Republic of Turkey is a democratic, secular and social state of law.”
For this reason, all kinds of religious symbols were removed from the public domain. Because if even one of them were allowed, it would have been against the principle of secularism, and the already overwhelming influence of the Sunni Muslim majority in the country would increase.
However, the Western world pointed this law against free expression and life, by presenting Atatürk as a dictator, anything that is contrary to the founding principles of Turkey, and in a sense, contrary to the Republic of Turkey founded by Atatürk. According to our information and as most West politicians having influence at that time stated, they supported Tayyip Erdogan from the very beginning, supposedly saying in their own minds, “Yes, Atatürk was a dictator, but he was not our dictator, we need a dictator in our own hands”. Even if the EU says they do not support him sometimes, we can say that they use this just as a rhetoric, as EU countries have never come into conflict with the government of Tayyip Erdogan because it will influence the trade negatively.
It is obvious what kind of result a country like Turkey has had with the so-called democratization pressure on Turkey’s founding laws, by putting aside its internal dynamics, history and culture. Just like what happened in Cihangir last week.
If we go back to the video, it is a complete FETO tactic, especially if these three women wearing headscarves were given the task of detaining the young woman and acting while having in mind that these images will become widespread. FETO, too, had done its best to stir up every internal dynamic in Turkey and to materialize this.
Tayyip Erdogan and his government are aware of the bad situation of the country economically and socially. And it is very clear that they are thinking of creating an environment where they can put more pressure and increase the discomfort in the country by showing some dynamics dividing the society to “secular and non-secular” .
Isn’t that strange that Tayyip Erdogan his relatives and supporters behave in the same way with the FETO line tactics are still being applied while they are stating that they are against FETO movement?
“The citizen, who reacted to the sound bomb thrown by the police at the Pride Parade, saying “The child is sleeping”, was detained by the police.
And as the police chief instructions orders “Go upstairs and take him!” that citizen on the balcony has been taken into custody also.
Of course, this police violence was not limited to those who participated in the LTGB pride parade, the ones sitting in the coffee shops in the back streets of Istiklal road, journalists should not be forgotten. The press freedom reports regarding Turkey already are not heart-warming :
The report states that as of December 1, 2020, 274 journalists were still held in prison in the world, while China (47), Turkey (37) and Egypt (27) were among the top three in this list.”
Bulent Kılıc, photojournalist for the French news agency AFP, who was detained with the harsh intervention of the police during the 19th Pride Parade in Taksim, Istanbul, was one of these journalists.
“The reporter who followed the Pride Parade was detained after being suffocated by his throat.”
Kılıc, who shared on his Twitter account, used the following statements:
Canıma kast edilmeye çalışıldı, nefesim kesilmek istendi, bana bunu yapandan, Anayasa Mahkemesi, Avrupa İnsan Hakları, her ne ise, bu Dünya’da hangi mahkemeyse hesap soracağım, yaşadığım sürece bunun mahkemede hesabı verilecek. Ulu Divan’a kalmayacak.#NefesAlamıyorum#Pride2021
“I was intended to be killed, I was intended to be left breathless. I will hold accountable for whoever did this to me, in the Constitutional Court, European Human Rights, whatever, whatever court in this world, it will be held accountable in court as long as I live. It will not be left for the Supreme Court.”
These are some of the photos in LTGB pride by Bulent Kılıç took before he was taken into custody

This is what happened in Turkey in just a day or even a few hours. It is obvious that the censorship applied in Turkey is one of the worst during nowadays and this kind of dictatorial pressure must end soon in the country.
The Golden Dawn Trial in Greece, the largest trial of Nazis since the Nuremberg trials, has come to an end. In a historic verdict announced on Thursday, the Athens Court of Appeal ruled that 38 of the 50 defendants found guilty will go to jail, among which are 13 former MPs in the Greek parliament.
Among those the court has ruled should go to prison for their participation in Golden Dawn, which has been ruled a criminal organisation in the guise of a political party, are its leader Nikos Michaloliakos, current MEP Yiannis Lagos, and former MPs Ilias Kasidiaris, Christos Pappas, Ilias Panagiotaros, Giorgos Germenis and Artemis Matthaiopoulos, who were all found guilty of running a criminal organisation. Others that will immediately begin serving their prison sentences are Antonis Gregos, Polyvios Zisimopoulos, Panagiotis Iliopoulos, Nikos Kouzilos, Konstantinos Barbarousis and Nikos Michos, sentenced as members of Golden Dawn.
Among those going to jail are Giorgos Roupakias, who was sentenced to life for the murder of musician Pavlos Fyssas, and his 14 accomplices.
KKE: The people’s demand was for the nazis to go to prison – There is no room for complacency
In a statement regarding the historic verdict, the Press Bureau of the CC of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) pointed out that “the refusal to give suspended sentences for the majority of the condemned nazi criminals of Golden Dawn and particularly for thοse belonging to the leadership group was an self-evident decision”, adding that “the people’s demand was for the nazis to go to prison, even with those reduced sentences due to the changes in the Penal Code”.
“The condemnation of the nazi criminal formation was imperative, however there is no room for complacency. Fascism is the true offspring of this rotten system and its entanglement with sections of the bourgeoisie and capital has been revealed many times in the past, as it was during this trial, and if these have need of Golden Dawn or any other Nazi scheme, they will not hesitate to support it at the expense of the people,” reads the KKE statement.
Once again the EU Parliament proves its role as a leading instrument of anti-communist distortion of history.
In a joint resolution signed by the political groups of the People’s Party, the Social Democrats, the Liberals, the Greens and the Conservative Reformists, the EU tries – once again – to equate communism with fascism-nazism and legalize the unacceptable reactionary measures against the Communist Parties and their activity in a number of member-states.
Responding to this hideous effort, the group of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) in the EU Parliament sent a letter to the Greek and Cypriot MEPs, calling them to denounce this despicable distortion of history. In the EU Parliament, both the KKE MEPs, Kostas Papadakis and Lefteris Nikolaou-Alavanos, denounced the resolution and the anti-communist propaganda.
“With the votes of the People’s Party, the Social Democrats, the Liberals, the Greens and the Conservative Reformists, the EU Parliament overwhelmingly passed the despicable joint anti-communist resolution under the title: “On the importance of the European remembrance for the future of Europe”. It is proved that the European Union has proclaimed anti-communism into its official ideology. It leads, along with bourgeois government, the bans on the activity of Communist Parties and communist symbols, the persecutions against communists and the communist ideology. It guides the unacceptable effort to distort and rewrite history by using the unhistorical equation of communism with fascism.
Despite the negative correlation of forces, the KKE group in EU Parliament, with its interventions, fought against anti-communism and the distortion of history, revealed the aspirations behind the shameful resolution against the people and their struggle. It gave documented answers to the anti-communist campaign. The people will place the resolutions and the propaganda of the bourgeois political powers where they belong, in the dustbin of history.”
On this issue, the Press Office of the CC of the KKE issued the following statement:
The European Parliament proves to be a flag bearer of anti-communism which is the official ideologyof the EU
In a statement on the European Parliament’s outrageous anti-communist resolution, the Press Office of the CC of the KKE states:
“The KKE condemns the despicable, anti-communist joint resolution of the European Parliament, signed by the political groups of the People’s Party, the Social Democrats, the Liberal, the Greens and the Conservative Reformists.
The purpose of this reactionary monstrosity is to legalize the ban on communist parties and communist symbols imposed on a number of EU member states, such as the Baltic States and the so-calledVisegradGroup, the generalization of criminalization and persecution of communist ideology and the action of the people’s forces that fight together with the Communists and resist the anti-popularbarbarity.
It provocativelydistorts history, equating communismwith fascismin an unhistorical manner. It paves the way for fascist gangs and far-right forces which are developing in Europe, whitewashing Nazism and its hideous crimes.
The decisive contribution of the Soviet Union to the smashing of the fascist monster, with the blood of millions of Soviet people, the incalculable sacrifices of the communists who led the heroic resistance movement against the Nazi yoke, are still engraved in the peoples’ memory.
The European Parliament proves to be a flag-bearer of anti-communism, which is the official ideology of the EU, a forerunner and a necessary complement to the harsh anti-popular policy it imposes together with bourgeois governments in its member states.
History has been irrevocably written by the peoples with their struggles, and the apologists of the capital and capitalist barbarity will not rewrite it with resolutions. Those MEPs who vote for this anti-communist construct take on a serious responsibility that our people will judgestrictly” (inter.kke.gr).
With google translate help from Greek, upper news says:
“With 535 votes in favor, 66 against and 52 abstention, on September 19th, the outrageous anti-communist resolution by the European Parliament, which once again confirmed that EU is the flagship in the anti-communist campaign.”

I have checked the European Commission related link in English pages and I have found this one from this link: (May 30, 2018)
3. EU Justice, Rights and Values Fund
The Commission is also proposing a new Justice, Rights and Values Fund, comprising of the Rights and Values, and Justice programmes. The Fund has a proposed budget allocation of €947 million over the 7 years, €642 million for the Rights and Values programme and €305 million for the Justice programme.
At a time where European societies are confronted with extremism, radicalism and divisions, it is more important than ever to promote, strengthen and defend justice, rights, and EU values. For instance, this programme will help fight inequalities and discrimination, better protect children, and improve judicial cooperation to better fight criminality and terrorism. The Fund will contribute to the further development of a European area of justice based on the rule of law, on mutual recognition and mutual trust. It will also enhance and support the key role of Non-Governmental Organisations and civil society in promoting, safeguarding and awareness raising for EU common values and ensuring people can enjoy their rights.
The creation of the new Fund represents a simplification as compared to the current situation of 3 programmes. In particular, the area of citizenship, which is currently dealt with by 2 different programmes, will be covered by the new Rights and Values programme.
Already the resolution is starting with these words:
“The European Parliament,
having regard to the universal principles of human rights and the fundamental principles of the European Union as a community based on common values…”
So, it seems that anti-communism campaign fund already set in 2018.

In here you can see which group gave favor, against or absentions for resolution. S&D Group is interesting in here, because inside it Labour Party UK members, I do not know what were their votes but yes they are the ones who call themselves comrade, haha!
In here also, you can listen KKE- Communist Party of Greece member Κωνσταντίνος Παπαδάκης-Kostas PAPADAKIS’s speech against EU parliament’s resolution debate. (he is also from NI group) its English.
Besides, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesman M.V. Zakharova respons to a question from RIA Novosti Agency regarding the adoption by the European Parliament of the resolution on the Importance of Preserving Historical Memory for the Future of Europe from here:
“The Russian Foreign Ministry is trying to refrain from commenting on the activities of the European Parliament. However, in this case, they are forced to make an exception, since we are talking about the next round of gross falsification of history…The European Parliament marked yet another outrageous attempt to equate Nazi Germany – the aggressor country – and the USSR, whose peoples liberated Europe from fascism at the cost of huge sacrifices…By hushing up the pages that are unpleasant for themselves and interpreting the “retouched” version of events at their discretion, the European Parliament finally loses touch with reality. But it is such that in a number of European countries they rehabilitate Nazi criminals, mass rallies of Waffen-SS veterans and their supporters take place, neo-Nazi organizations feel at ease. This is a true threat to the fundamental principles of democracy and human rights…We consider unacceptable a distortion of the past. History, in our deep conviction, should remain the destiny of responsible professionals, and not politicians who use it for their narrowly selfish purposes.”
I did not translate upper lines from Russian, google translate did it; I am lazy today.:))

The Communist Youths present in Athens, on the occasion of the 45th Communist Youth Festival of Greece (Odigitis Festival), condemned the anti-communist resolution of the European Parliament. Communist party youth organizations of 36 countries issued statement.
According to resolution, Communism is equal with Nazism and a number of measures such as the ban of communism symbols and the remove of monuments are required. My all earthling friends, are you aware of the danger?
………………………………
ps: Actually this week I was going to make a post about a different thing after the summer. But this is urgent and it needs to be primary.
I’ve always dreamed of a world and a universe in this way. A world that all people and all living creatures in the universe can live together in peace..
Is this possible? Yes, it is possible. But how long can it be done, it’s entirely in the hands of human beings. I’ve wanted to write this article for a long time ago. I think it has been better in these days especially just after the 100th anniversary of end of World War I; the days which the reasons of the start of the war are repeated, but still the days that the people paper over the realities. Because economic conditions are worsening, and Europeans are more likely to embrace racism, fascism and extreme nationalism. Three days ago, what happened in Poland on anniversary of independence day is the best example.
When the demonstration will be organized by fascist groups for the 100th anniversary of Poland’s independence in 1918 was banned, it was turned into a “government program”. Fascists and racist groups participated in the demonstrations in Warsaw with the participation of President Andrzej Duda. Last year, 60 thousand people attended to Independence Day’s demonstrations, in this year the participation has been about 250 thousand people. At the action, which turned into a show of extreme right and fascists, was shouted against communists, Jews and Muslims.
In the action that the police builded wall against the people who protested against the fascist demonstrators, the fascist groups shouted slogans such as “Islam is the enemy of Europe”, “Delete Islam”, “Our way is nationalism”, “greedy Jewish”, “Communists will be hung in the trees instead of leaves”.
Poland’s right-wing president Andrzej Duda told a crowd at the start of the demonstration in Warsaw yesterday. “We are walking under a white-red flag with a welcome to commemorate those who fought for Poland and the independence and sovereignty of the country,” he said. Former Prime Minister of Poland and President of the European Union (EU) Council Donald Tusk also participated in the action.
The situation for the discreet and rational Poles seems really bad. In particular, there is a large community that has never taken any lessons from history in Poland. For example, didn’t the Polish fascists ever watch this movie?
Hatred, Wołyń/Volhynia is one of the most horrible films I have watched in my life on this planet. Even to watch any good horror movie isn’t that effective like this movie. It is the best example of what fascists done and what fascists can capable of. The massacres of Poles in Volhynia by faschist, which co-operated with Nazis, how the massacre was organized within the churches, even how the children were slaughtered, and how the fascists got pleasure(!) pervertedly, even how the Polish poet Zygmunt Jan Rumel was killed brutally, and many others are described in this film. And in 2018, the fascist groups in Poland argue that the solution is again fascism. This must be a tragicomic joke!
But it is not. What happened at the 100th year demonstration in Poland is not a joke, unfortunately. People can be hostile to their neighbours they have been living together for years, or to those who come with the hope of life from outside to their land. Since the planet earth has been experiencing a new kind of migration of tribes (more last 15 years), it seems that extreme rightism and fascism will continue to increase, especially since the European continent was home to these new kind of migration of tribes. The hope that people will live in peace remains to another century again.
I had thought a long time ago, “what was the most important thing that would make people’s lives together in peace?” In fact, for this, to answer to this question was needed first: “What led human societies to fight and war? The ambition of wealth, greed or interests?” When we write these and similar reasons one by one, economic dynamics emerge. As a result of the community leaders and their relationship with the money-power centers which these leaders are somehow connected, when the economic situation in society worsens, these leaders can somehow drag the society into a war. In fact, the reason of why the economy is not reflected equally in people’s lives is these mismanagement and money-power centers, but despite this, societies can erase the reasons/facts and fight against the different groups in the same society or the people of the other countries.
There are, of course, many reasons of why they erased these facts. At first, there are a sense of belonging and self-identification. How? If a person does not endeavor to develop own level of personal learning (with or without school), when he/she finds him/herself in any economic dilemma, he finds himself among those whom he can act together with depending on the same religion or the same nationality (sometimes it can be the same race). Because he feels that he belongs in these groups. After all, when these groups gather, they don’t ask him what book he’s read yesterday. The only important point is that the same nationality and the same sense of religion are intense and unifying. The unification of the same nationality and the phenomenon of the same religion gives that person the power to relax him/herself.
Because in real, he is powerless and weak
Let’s say he has a job and he’s going to work everyday. The salary at work does not increase, but economic conditions are not good in the country. He sees that people who have not got the same religion with him and are not the same nationality, work with the same or less salary. He wants to create a resistance against them. As a result, he sees the land he lives on as the primary right of the people in his nationality and the same religion. With the time the people from different nationalities and religions become enemies for him. Who knows how many nights he became sleepless by thinking “where these guys came to my country, damn them!”. And again the next day after the sleepless night, how many times he thought, “These guys must get out of my country.”
The same example is more intense in one who is unemployed. Seeing that every door that has closed his face when he seeks a job, seeing every employer who is hiring a person from another nationality or religion with less salary, his sleepless nights are rising. The only trump in their hands in both examples is that they think that the real right of that land is the people of own nationality and religion.
This will feel true at first sight to every person. Because if the entire family of a person has lived in that land for centuries, if they have paid the taxes, if he has endured that distress with all the people on the land in any difficult time, then the genetic coding is activated and it would be created the right to think that he is the first owner of this land. People belonging to another religion and nationality who come to his country from outside reach the usurper condition. So they are chosen as enemies from first-hand.
To see the people of different nations or the people who depending on a different thought or religion as enemy
This is the easiest way. It is easiest to think that the outsiders, or the different elements among the people, they always encroach on the rights. He does not think why these people came to his country, and more importantly, he does not think about his own country’s rulers(probably the majority has always voted for them) have taken actions that would harm to those people, even his country bombarded their country.
The Multi-National Force – Iraq (MNF–I), often referred to as the coalition forces, was a military command during the 2003 invasion of Iraq and much of the ensuing Iraq War, led by the United States of America (Operation Iraqi Freedom), United Kingdom (Operation TELIC), Australia, Spain and Poland, responsible for conducting and handling military operations. (2003-2011)
Monitoring group Airwars says the number of civilian deaths acknowledged by the coalition is well below the true toll of the bombing campaign, estimating that at least 6,259 non-combatants have lost their lives.
The latest news on November 9, was the same again,
In short, because of the groups that extremist right-wing Poles felt belonging, in some countries people are dying, war is going on, people are becoming homeless. And when these people have to flee and become refugee, the far-right Poles and their leaders see them as enemies. It is really interesting!
An far-right-wing Pole who knows that his country is bombing these countries, does not think about it even if he knows this fact. Because that’s the hard part. And choosing that side will drive him away from the nationality and religion that he feels to belong. But he wants to belong. That’s what defines his identity; his religion and nationality. He cannot accept that the people of other countries have come to his own land because of the crimes committed by the rulers he has voted. His acceptance is not possible. Because he falls into emptiness when he accepts. This emptiness destroys his emotion and thought on retrieval.
The thing to be retrieved actually is the sense of justice
So in fact, the answer of first question I asked “What led human societies to fight and war?” is the lack of sense of justice.
People want justice essentially. If there is a life in fair conditions, if they live with equal sharing under equal social rights, then the sense of justice will be in safe. When this feeling is in safe, the people in their own society or other nationality or religion will not bother him. Because they will know that everyone lives on an equal conditions and each individual is taking his/her right; neither more nor less.
If the states and state administrators can provide justice, the people of that country can live in peace. The best sentence on this subject, I think, was told by Caliph Ali in history. He said that about this: “The religion of the state is the justice.” I know it’s interesting that I’ve put the words of a caliph in here as an atheist extraterrestrial, my dear earthling friends. But this sentence is really good, is not it?.;)
After all, if the elected rulers are not fair in the public, if the people cannot benefit from the rights equally, then the main responsible are the rulers. However, nationalism and religion are such a sharp sword in the hands of fascism that you cannot see even the reflection of the sword on the parts that it cut. Because it leaves nothing. It’s the same as it happened before, and it seems that it will happen again.
What are the limits and dimensions of rising fascism in Europe
In the case of France,
We see the development of Ms Le Pen and right-wing National Front like that. Le Pen is right-wing, but Macron is really opponent of her? It’s so funny to say that he is not right-wing for someone who says these words.
“President Emmanuel Macron said on Wednesday it was “legitimate” to pay tribute to Marshal Philippe Petain, who led the French army to victory in World War One’s Battle of Verdun but decades later collaborated with Nazi Germany during World War Two.” (6 Nov. 2018)
Is Macron ignorant? Although his words did not have a side to be defended, immediately defended his words by the government. He did not take steps backward either. As it turns out, the fact that he joined the socialist party at the age of 24 did not create any development for him.
While the rise of nationalism in the countries in the middle and south of the map depends on the fact that more refugees are in these countries, economic conditions are predominant. Well, in the north, why the nationalism is rising by 17% -18% in Sweden and Finland? The economic conditions of those living in these countries are much better than in the southern European countries. I wonder, could it be some of the Swedish or Finns decided to try nationalism as a new taste because of they were so bored, haha! Kidding aside, I don’t think so.
About a year ago I came across a video on youtube.
It was an interview with actor Gustaf Skarsgård, the actor of Floki’s role in Vikings TV series. (Okay, okay I confess, I did not find this video by chance. I’m watching Vikings TV series, and I was wondering what would happen in the new season. We, the extraterrestrials like to get spoilers, haha!) At the beginning of video, the interviewer asks questions about Vikings. As understood from the interview, the interviewer is Norwegian origin person and I guess he lives in America. The part that attracts my attention starts at 2:48 seconds of the video. During the conversation, the interviewer says that a Norwegian singer said “Norwegians are prude and stupit”. And he asks to Gustaf Skarsgård:“You are standing up for Norwegians here?” And Skarsgard answer is very natural. Like that:
“No, I am just standing up for, for, for, for humans in general. I don’t care that much about nationality.”
Yes, he says “for” four times. I think he thinks in the same time and even Skarsgard sounds like stuttering. It’s like there’s nothing he can do. His brain cells were probably shocked by the question. He is a very good player, and as well as being a good player, he obviously has improved himself. He is capable of a being universal actor. (Not yet, because Galactic Council Universal Art Administration, Human-made Visual and Performing Arts Department, did not take Vikings usage right yet; when they take, he can be universal.;))
If you are a person like Gustaf Skarsgard, that is, language, religion, color and race are not important for you, you can confuse in front of such a question with a momentary pause. But the interviewer goes on and says:
“Scandinavians, we have to stick together too you know.”
Apparently the interviewer is insistent. Somehow he wants to establish a bond by referring to more general population, he points to all Scandinavians. I don’t know why he’s doing this. Have the Scandinavians ever been exposed to racism in anywhere on the planet? Are they an oppressed race? For them, “Scandinavians and dogs cannot enter” on the doors of restaurants was written? Did the other people search for Scandinavians door by door for burning or killing/hanging them in history? Was any banner hold such as “get the hell out of my country” by pointed to Scandinavians in any country? Is there something the world doesn’t know about, but only the Scandinavians have quietly endured and this interviewer knew? Why this interviewer was wanting to create a Scandinavian union like the power of Voltron? I’m confused. Gustaf Skarsgard seems to be confused too; this should be caught unawares. At first, Skarsgard says yeah, but he come to himself with a smile: “Yeah,… Europeans… and the members of the planet and all.”
Most likely, after Skarsgard’s first “yeah” response, during the milliseconds it has been transferring in his brain like that: “What I am saying! Why only Scandinavians? No, all Europeans. No no, why only the Europeans! All members of the planet, yes, we must all stand together.”; like every rightminded and humanist human being. This was reflected in his words. (PS: Even though WD has understood his words as unite against extraterrestrials, I do not agree with him.:))
After all, this very short moment and detail in this video had led me to think a year ago. I’ve always thought that northern Europeans are less nationalistic and more inclusive societies. Of course, I had information about the period when some Norwegian collaborated with the Nazis. Like some informations as described in this article: The Dark Sides of Norwegian History
I even don’t mention about what happened to Lebensborn children especially in Norway.
Or again, when we look at history, we know that a group in Sweden has united with the Nazis. Or what happened to the Indigenous people of Northern Europe, Saami / Sami people (In Turkish and Russian, they called as Lapon people and their land is Lapponia) who are lesser known among the indigenous communities in the world? If you look at what is told in this film, no good things have happened to Sami people in Sweden.
I knew these facts, but I still was thinking that Scandinavians could always be less nationalistic and even less racist in Europe. I think mine was a stereotyped idea about Scandinavians.
While the economic conditions in the Scandinavian countries are better than many European countries, where this mentality comes from? And according to bbc’s article, nationalist parties are almost effective in one-fifth of the population of these countries. I found an interview-article about it. The title and link is in here: “Why is the far-right on the rise in Scandinavia?”
When you read it, even though it was two years ago, you can observe some things. There are some comments under this article. And I think the most remarkable comment is following:
“Because the left has abandoned their own people and jeopardized the safety of citizens with reckless illegal immigration policies. The left deserves its fate and I truly hope their only way is OUT.”
In other words, when left-leaning people lose their sense of security in their own country, they question the decisions of a leftist administration. For example, the article says “Sweden by alone received more than 160,000 asylum seekers in 2015, more than any other EU state” This looks good from the outside. So, it means that among countries that bombed Syria, at least Sweden accepts own responsibility. But if the arriving refugees create a security threat, it is still up to the laws that the government will implement. However, in order to put pressure on government decisions, I do not understand the logic of moving from left-wing to right-wing. Does it mean they tried all the ways and decided to be the rightist when they could not find any solution? I do not think so. It’s the easy part, and it’s nothing but to take the easy way out.
When talking about rising fascism, it is not possible not to pass over Ukraine. After all, this beautiful country is now almost becoming synonymous with fascism. In Ukraine, fascism is even bigger. Even children are now trained in Ukrainian nationalist camps. Details and videos of AP news dated 12.11.2018: Training kids to kill at Ukrainian nationalist camp
KIEV, Ukraine (AP) — The campers, some clad in combat fatigues, carefully aim their assault rifles. Their instructor offers advice: Don’t think of your target as a human being.
So when these boys and girls shoot, they will shoot to kill.
Most are in their teens, but some are as young as 8 years old. They are at a summer camp created by one of Ukraine’s radical nationalist groups, hidden in a forest in the west of the country, that was visited by The Associated Press. The camp has two purposes: to train children to defend their country from Russians and their sympathizers — and to spread nationalist ideology.
“We never aim guns at people,” instructor Yuri “Chornota” Cherkashin tells them. “But we don’t count separatists, little green men, occupiers from Moscow, as people. So we can and should aim at them.”
I think we will write more and more articles about this and we will read the news. Of course, there is no cure for extreme nationalism, you can’t cure people by giving a medicine. But with justice, education and equal conditions, you can save people from extreme nationalism and fascism. Of course, in order to do this, the public needs to act in an organized manner.
In my case, the situation is worse. We already had a limited number of countries that we can visit on the planet. For example, we, the extraterrestrials can never go to US, because since Roswell, we are all considered as the experimental object at there. We can’t go to Japan either; even if Japanese people look polite and rational, they have interesting thought structures, and we have our suspicion and fear that they will make us test subject. As a communist and atheist alien, we cannot go to Ukraine, for example. Ukrainian man says clearly that you have read above, “we can and should aim .. little green men …” The fascists in Poland want to use communists instead of leaves in the trees; you have read also this upper lines. There are many other countries in the list, but these are the first. For us, the first ages of humanity were unique times to visit the planet earth. The human race was not so intensely spread into the continents. The ones, Homo Sapiens who started to be exist, were engaged in the slaughter to the Neanderthals and wiping them off the planet. Already in the rest of their times they were living in the caves by painting and they were trying to make human babies. So it was the best time for us. But not now. And unfortunately, much worse future is waiting for both us and common sense people.
According to the new laws in Denmark, in immigrant neighborhoods, which are defined as ‘ghetto’, some crimes will be double punished, and the children who are living in these low-income areas will be subjected to cultural assimilation under the name of ‘education of values’ by begining from one years old.
While other Danish citizens are not obliged to take any preschool education until the age of 6, the trainings scheduled for at least 25 hours a week are compulsory for children of families living in ghetto from one years old. According to the law, which mainly involves the neighborhoods of Muslim families, the social security payments of families which do not send their children to the trainings of “values” such as Christmas, Easter and Danish are being cut off.
Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen who gave a place for integration of immigrants at his speech at new year warned that ghettos could “reach out their tentacles onto the streets” by spreading violence, and that because of ghettos, “cracks have appeared on the map of Denmark.”
Double punishment for immigrant neighborhoods
That tough approach is embodied in the “ghetto package.” Of 22 proposals presented by the government in early March, most have been agreed upon by a parliamentary majority, and more will be subject to a vote in the fall. One measure under consideration would allow courts to double the punishment for certain crimes if they are committed in one of the 25 neighborhoods classified as ghettos, based on residents’ income, employment status, education levels, number of criminal convictions and “non-Western background.”
Electronic ankle bracelets for immigrant youngs
Some proposals have been rejected as too radical, like one from the far-right Danish People’s Party that would confine “ghetto children” to their homes after 8 p.m. Challenged on how this would be enforced, Martin Henriksen, the chairman of Parliament’s integration committee, suggested in earnest that young people in these areas could be fitted with electronic ankle bracelets.
The proportion of immigrants coming from Muslim countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria is 13 percent in Denmark, which has 5 million 700 thousand population. The unemployment rate in the places where Muslim immigrants are majority is estimated to be 40 percent, and it is estimated that more than half of the immigrant population has a very low income.
The inspiration for this title is the banner below.
At the Greek capital, Athens, held a ceremony marking the “May 19th, genocide of the Pontian Greeks”. Syriza and the Independent Greeks took the high level of participation from the coalition government. Government spokesman Gavrila Sakellaridis, asked recognition “political murder and persecution of Pontian Greeks’ from Turkey.
It is being claimed 353.000 Pontian Greeks people were killed by Turks in 1914-1922. (In fact, the organizers of the memorial day acted merciful. According to some web sites, this figure reaches up to 1 million!)
Is it surprise? Nooo! As I have said in one of my old posts:
In fact, imperialists, who cause all kinds of dirty history and massacre, create enmity among other peoples to cover their own sinners by creating scapegoat. The Turks are the best example of the scapegoat in human history!
And in some countries like Greece, some fascists are being used for this creation. And this post is adressing these fascists, not the other Greeks!
At the meeting on May 19, that banner was seen, like the many others. It is writing on it:
“The non recognition of the genocide is a sign of Nazisim.”
As you can see, the 3 historical people on the banner. Second one is Ataturk, third one is Lenin. And I guess the first one is Tsar Nikolai Aleksandrovich Romanov, but I am not sure he is tsar or not.
Now, in this equation, if we remove tsar from the equation, the remaining two people have made their own countries independent, saved the people from the tsar and the sultan, and one of signed and created the Soviet revolution, the other one the Turkish revolution. And these people are included as two elements under a banner as an example of Nazism!
(I do not know what kind of brains of those who prepare this banner? What they drunk or ate? But, it needs to be very solid substance to be stoned like that. To get high like them, I want to same what they drunk or ate. Haha!)
In the meantime, those who accused persons who would not be the fascist with Nazism, resorted to violence.
Yiannis Boutaris, age 75, the mayor of Greece’s second-largest city Thessaloniki has been treated in hospital after being beaten up by about a dozen people.
He was attending an event commemorating too, but the right extremists forced him to the ground, punching and kicking him.
He is Thessaloniki mayor. And Thessaloniki is called “Selanik” by Turks. This city is also the city where Mustafa Kemal Ataturk borned in 1881. So many Turks visit the Ataturk’s house in the city for many years. The mayor as known as a person, who tries to give the effort to establish a peaceful dialogue between the Turks and the Greeks. Yiannis Boutaris received intense criticism after being elected mayor in 2012, because of his words “Turks are my brother”. Against the accusations, he had said that his aim “is not to be liked but to be useful.”
Now, when thinking, what can do these fascists who even can not bear the words of the peaceful people in their own when they see a peaceful Turk tomorrow?
It’s a very dangerous way! There have been those who have gone this way before!
Like, the Armenian terrorist organization Asala has killed 38 Turkish consul generals and diplomats in many different countries between 1973 and 1984, backed by the French government. These Turkish diplomats were in many different cities of countries, from Paris to Los Angeles. Some Asala killers of them were punished, others were free.
If 38 diplomats of US or Britain or France had been killed by an terror organization, then the boms would have rain to that country of terrorists. But when Turkish diplomats are killed, all western imperialists play three monkeys. Of course they will not see the terror they created themselves.
Why the Republic of Turkey and Ataturk are always the target?
Why did I say that. In many ways I can explain this historically. However in here, there is a fact that has been put into the eyes of people especially in the Armenian genocide allegations and in the Pontian genocide allegations that the planned hatred behind these claims is obviously created by the western imperialists.
Each country has important historical memorial or important days. Like 4th of July in America.
There are 3 important days of the Republic of Turkey. Every year the celebrations and festivities are being held for these 3 days.
19 May – The begining of the independence war of Turkey, the day which Ataturk started to path of independence, 19 May 1919
April 23 – The day of the opening of the first parliament of the Republic of Turkey April 23, 1920
October 29 – The Republic was declared, October 29, 1923
This three day in Turkey, are celebrated as
May 19 The commemoration of Ataturk, youth and sports day
April 23 The national sovereignty and children’s day
October 29 Republic day
And let’s see, which days are being commemorated of Armenian genocide and Pontian genocide by some countries including Greece and Armenia.
May 19
Every year Greecks and the some counties commemorate 19 May as Pontian Greeks genocide. Into the supporting web pages of Pontian Greeks genocide claims, the events’ begining day is November 1914 and ends to 1922. But they chose the 19 May day to commemoration.
April 24
Every year Armenians and the some countries commemorate 24 April as Armenian genocide. Into the supporting web pages of the Armenian genocide claims, the events’ begining date is February 25, 1915 and ends in 1920’s. But they chose the 24 April day to commemoration.
October 29
Surprisingly there is not any commemoration genocide on this day yet. But I am sure one day, October 29 will be remembered as another country’s people genocide day which made by Turks. I do not thinks so, the imperialists will pass this day over, haha!
When I look to the especially selected days, I see Turkish revolution which was started by Ataturk and the Republic of Turkey where he led the build, caused distress to western imperialists. What about you?
I also believe that the fascists of every country are always condemned to return to the dark holes they come from. I believe that the Greeks do not/will not support the actions of these fascists and they always want to live in peace. (Please also read my post “έλα my brother” I wrote earlier.)
The two sides of the Aegean Sea are always close together. Even when you think you are farthest away!
“Where other men blindly follow the truth, remember, nothing is true.
Where other men are limited by morality or law, remember, everything is permitted.” Quote from Assassin’s Creed

52 YEARS AFTER FASCIST GENOCIDE, INDONESIANS SCARED OF “COMMUNIST GHOSTS”
From Jakarta and Yogyakarta:Andre Vltchek
It was once again a hot, muggy day in Jakarta. The air was full of pollutants, epic traffic jams blocking entire center of the city. Biasa, as locals would say, or in a lax translation, ‘business as usual’.
It is September 29th, 2017, Friday, just one day before the most sinister anniversary in the entire Southeast Asia.
On September 30th, 1965, the Indonesian military obeying orders from foreign powers (mainly the US and the UK), overthrew the progressive and anti-imperialist government of President Sukarno, murdering between 1 and 3 million men, women and children (including almost all members of the Communist Party of Indonesia – PKI). This was done with the direct help of almost all the major religious organizations (Muslim, Protestant, Catholic and Hindu). The bloodshed continued well into 1966, and the “Rivers were choked with corpses and ran red from blood,” as I was told by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, the greatest Indonesian novelist. All the hopes for a socialist, just and egalitarian motherland were wasted.
Before the coup, Indonesia used to be a true internationalist nation, and was one of the proud founders of the Non-Aligned Movement (the West Javanese city of Bandung hosted its establishing conference in 1955). President Sukarno and his progressive and patriotic government used to hold in their hands almost all the natural resources, trying to build a proud, artistic and productive nation. Sukarno once even humiliated the US Ambassador, in front of a huge crowd, at a packed stadium: “To hell with your aid!” He did not need any Western aid. He was presiding over potentially one of the richest nations on Earth.
The Communist Party of Indonesia (PKI), the third largest in the world after those of the Soviet Union and China, was going to win the elections, comfortably and democratically, in 1966, while being fully supported by President Sukarno. Their manifesto was clear: anti-imperialism, social justice and land reforms. But who were some of the largest landowners in Indonesia during that period? Religious leaders! And they, together with the military and corrupt elites, decided: “No!” This has to be stopped! No justice. No internationalism. No socialism.” They betrayed the nation and its people; they committed treason and on September 30, 1965, overthrew socialist democracy.
The results were horrifying. Perhaps the worst massacres of the 20th Century took place. Mass slaughter, mass rape, and cutting off of female breasts, torture, and shortly after the initial horrors, overflowing prisons and concentration camps. Around 40% of all the teachers of Java were slaughtered and the military was substituted into the school classrooms. Film studios and traditional theatres were shut down, and writers were sent to Buru concentration camp. Intellectualism was fully discouraged, while Communism, the Chinese language and culture, but also all progressive arts and creativity were either ridiculed, or out rightly banned. Promoted instead, were Western-style turbo-capitalism (that which was invented for the colonies, not that for the local consumption in Europe and North America), ‘religions’ (based on repetitive rituals, not on intellectual or spiritual search for God), ‘family values’ (read: patriarchal oppression), an empty pop culture, and selfishness, boosted by consumerism. All this combined gave birth to some of the worst corruption levels in the world.
Indonesia as it used to be before September 30, 1965, died. Unable to produce anything of substantial value, it began perpetrating the unbridled plunder of its own natural resources, predominantly on behalf of foreign conglomerates. The entire beautiful and naturally rich, enormous islands, like Borneo (the largest island in Asia and the second largest in the world), Sumatra and Papua, were converted into devastated, poisoned and fully privatized ecological and social nightmares.
*
It seems that killing everything decent and hopeful has not been enough for this regime. Even memories have to be killed, even dreams. The great progressive past of Indonesia is being smeared and twisted, until there is nothing more left, only confusion and mechanical religious, family and commercial rituals.
Now, one of the mainstream Indonesian magazines Tempo put on its 25 September – 1 October 2017 cover: “SEKALI LAGI HANTU PKI” (“Once Again, Ghost of PKI”).
Whenever it suits the corrupt elites, the military and the religious cadres (three main pillars of the Indonesia oppressive regime), the Communist ghost is evoked. It is depicted as a monstrous, nasty, and murderous creature. Indonesian children were taught that the Communist hammer was there to smash the heads of the people, while the sickle was – to cut their throats…
While celebrating May 9 Victory Day, lets we look at the some pictures that shows how Soviets achieved this victory:
According to the report of the chief of staff of the 150th Infantry Division, when the Reichstag was taken, 2,500 people were killed and 1,650 people were taken prisoner. The losses of the Soviet troops incurred during the storming of the Reichstag are not exact. It is known that on April 29 the 150th Infantry Division lost 18 people killed and 50 wounded, the 171st Rifle Division – 14 killed and 31 wounded.
The fighting was going on day and night. Soviet soldiers who breaking into the center of Berlin, broke through tanks at home, knocking the Nazis out of ruins.
Until April 28, in the hands of the defenders of the city, only the central part remained, shot from all sides by Soviet artillery.
The storming of Berlin is the final part of the Berlin offensive operation of 1945, during which the Red Army seized the capital of Nazi Germany and victoriously completed the Great Patriotic War and World War II in Europe. The operation lasted from April 25 to May 2.
A Soviet soldier is bandaging a wounded Berliner.
The ruined cabinet of Adolf Hitler in the Imperial Chancellery.
Operation to capture Koenigsberg: The German command took all possible measures to prepare the city-fortress Koenigsberg to a long resistance in the conditions of the siege. In the city there were underground factories, numerous military arsenals and warehouses. The defense system included an external defensive circuit, which had already been overcome by Soviet troops, and three internal contours. In the center of the city there was a citadel.
Budapest was liberated from the Nazis.
Connections of the 3rd Ukrainian Front entered the territory of Bulgaria. Residents of the city of Lovech meet the Soviet soldiers-liberators.
Also, with the fall of Berlin and the loss of vital areas, Germany lost the opportunity for organized resistance and soon capitulated.
These photos and informations were taken from Russian 9 May web page.
This war against fascism was not easy, and success of Soviets at war has been trying to be ignored by European governments for last decades.
The following quotes from Kemal Okuyan, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Turkey, today’s article from SoL.org:
“The US and the UK were no more innocent than Hitler Germany in imperialist competition. Nevertheless, these two imperialist countries were making unmatched maneuvers to save themselves from the responsibility of war resulting in the bloodshed of the Soviet peoples, in which they were using a “libertarian” intelligence which had neither a backbone nor a memory. We made a mistake, it was necessary to keep the sins of the United States and Britain on the agenda constantly, but when this wasn’t made, the Soviets and Nazi Germany, plus Stalin and Hitler have been became identified in same impertinence area.
During the war, the alliance between the Soviets and the United States&Britain was so temporary as imperative as for all three. It was completely rotten, because the alliance was class-based mixed. The ideology of the Alliance was absent because of the existence of opposing ideologies. The Alliance could not agree on the definition of the enemy. It was not true that between 1941 and 1945 a “front of democracy” was established against fascism. A wing of western imperialism defended its own interests, the Soviet Union itself and humanity. It was the Soviet Union that held the promises of the war for four years as well as the war, and conformed to the rules of morality and diplomacy in relation to its allies. Before the end of the war, before Germany surrendered, that were the United States and the United Kingdom, which started a new war (it doesn’t matter cold or hot). We allowed this fact to be forgotten. With this, the lie that the Soviet Union represented authoritarian and the US represents a libertarian world, grew day by day.”
