The skeletons in France’s closet: Part II

1954-1946  Vietnam

main-qimg-012b05ae4e879c15a22d2612858d8500-c

Most people do not know this first part of the Vietnam war. It is known what America did in the second part of the Vietnam war, but it is ignored that France has prepared all this destruction during decades.

The First Indochina War generally known as the Indochina War, and as the Anti-French Resistance War in Vietnam) began in French Indochina on 19 December 1946, and lasted until 1 August 1954. In this part of Vietnam war, France was the main actor. Intrestingly, France that was a country which just out from WW2 in 1946, and France should has been poor and in the period of new structuring. But as we can see, France has been always ready to any new war in another corner of the planet.

During this time, the total number of civilians and soldiers who died in Vietnam is 377,523 people. About 190,000 people are also missing or dead. These numbers are flexible, could be more. Because there is no exact population record in Vietnam at that time. Figures only based on figures reported to governorships. Especially in 1944-1945 under the colonialism of Japan, suffered great hunger, even starvation, Vietnam was a country where close to 1 million people lost lives.

Except only 1944-45, between 1887-1954 France controlled Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, which is referred to as Indochine Francais (French Indochina). In fact, in 1930, the Vietnamese were uprising against France, resulting in the death of nearly 1,000 Vietnamese. You can read from here Ho Chi Minh – speaking on the formation of the Indochinese Communist Party -is a statement for a call for unity by Vietnamese colonialists on February 18th 1930.

As a result, France, which has been exploiting Vietnam somehow for during 60 years, at the end of the 1940s France embarked on a new partnership with America, namely Marshall plan funds.

Marshall Plan funds (US dollars) Given to France: 1948/1949 – $1085m —

1949/1950 – $691m — 1950/1951 $520m

In short, while Algerian people were killed and tortured by France as we told in Part I, France was in Vietnam almost in the same years. At least 600,000 people have lost their lives in Vietnam. We have added 600,000 more skeletons to the closet of France.

We still can not leave between 1945 and 1960. It is not possible to catch up with the speed of France. The number of people killed in this article is perhaps only “a number” for everyone. It can be thought that they rebelled and fought against French imperialism, and were killed. Is only limited with this? While France suppressed these revolts, it committed serious war crimes. Just like it’s in Algeria. In 2012 “Algeria 1830-1962” exhibition opened to the public at the Land Forces Museum in Paris. According to the BBC, “It is evident that France often resorted to torture methods. An Algerian who was punished with bastinado, appears in one of the previously unpublished photographs. In another photo a French does squeeze a prisoner’s neck.”

I will not add visuals here. But if you only googling the photos of what French did in Algeria, you can see how France has done great war crimes. And that’s only one example.

As I said, we can not leave 1945-1960 yet. For example, let’s look at Cameroon. Let’s go from Vietnam to Cameroon, to the another far corner of the world.

1957-1959 and 1960-1961 Cameroon

These dates draw the attention with high losses in Cameroon’s independence war. Approximately 71,000 Cameroon people were killed between these dates. The note in the wikipedia: “The French Army is often burned or otherwise destroyed entire villages infested with terrorists, resulting in an unknown number of non-terrorist civilians.” So, the villages inhabited by people were consciously burned by French. The quotes from the article about these events, “The Forgotten Cameroon War“:

A few days earlier, former prime minister François Fillon described colonization as the simple “sharing of culture.” Ignoring the millions of corpses French colonialism left in its wake, he declared: “France is not guilty for having wanted to share its culture with the peoples of Africa, Asia, and North America.”

I see here a French politician’s arrogance that French colonialism culture got into everybone of his body, what about you?

Well, what do you know about Madagascar?

1947-1954 Madagascar

In 1947, the Malagasy people began to revolt by wanting to stop being a colony of France, and 90,000 Malagasy people had lost lives until 1956.

1944 August – France

Now I think we can look at 1944 and before in the history of France. Let us look at the end day of this period of the French who actually took part in the Second World War between June 1940 and August 1944. That is exactly the day of liberation from the occupation of France, 18 August 1944. Previously I published a post with the title “The children of Lebensborn: They were the children, who have become the target for revenge”. In here you can find more detailed information about them. The children of Lebensborn, in briefly, the children of the relations between the some Nazi officers with volunteers(the word of volunteer does not give the exact meaning without knowing the war conditions) or reluctant women in the countries they occupied, for keeping their “pure race” plans in the wartime period. These children were in every country that Nazi Germany occupies in Europe.

Başlıksız 3

On the 18th of August, while French celebrated with the colorful flags in the streets of Paris with Americans, in the back streets same very civilized (!) French accused about 30,000 French women of being Nazi collaborators, so their hair was sculpted, painted with swastika, and forced to walk in naked or half-naked in public with insults and humiliations of their own people. Even these women were exposed to violence. The anger and lynch culture of France has already been examined in the previous chapter, Part I, with the 1961 protests of Algerian protesters in Paris.

While France is accusing to almost all the others by begin with Turks and Russians at every opportunity, with barbarism, not being civilized, aggressions and war crimes, France itself is racist at all occasions, itself lynches at every opportunity, lays out it’s hatred and carries out racism on the other hand to cover up it’s crimes. the closest example was France wanted Russia on war crimes charges.

French women who were lynched on August 29, 1944 by own French people were sent to prison, many died. Their children have been humiliated throughout their lives too.

Between 1944 and 1940, France made defenses many fronts in the occupied territory. Well, were all the French soldiers only French? France, from the early 1830s, created the French Foreign Legions, especially from the colonies of Africa. These were battalions in different names. For example, one of the names is Saharan Companies of the French Foreign Legion. In these lejions, various nationalities and races people were used as soldiers. As of 2008, members come from 140 countries. From the 1830s onwards, it entered them in fights on many fronts, including the First World War. In other words, they exploited these countries, destroyed their cultures, assimilated them and, on the other hand, crusaded the poor peoples of these countries in the wars, both within the continent and far away as human power. These people, most likely used in close 100 wars or in more, became soldiers on the frontlines of the French fronts. The answers of questions such as how many Africans were fought on the French fronts over this century and how many have died can be found by researching these wars and fronts one by one. My guess is more than a million, until the end of the Second World War. In the Second World War, how many African french fighters have been fought, can be found by looking at the same way.

Before 1940

According to the French Foreign affairs web page, “In 1935, France had to maintain an overseas army (armée d’outre-mer) of 210,000 effectives in North Africa, Syria and the colonies; At home she had only 320,000 men under arms. Among the colonial forces, however, are 100,000 natives of North Africa organized into special regiments of infantry and cavalry, who are helping to maintain order in the African territories where they are mainly stationed develop in Europe.”

In fact, the great depression that started in the late 1920s showed itself in France (unemployment rate was more than 15% in France and in the same period in Germany unemployment rate over 40%), and unemployment and bad economic conditions did not go well until 1939. But, in those days there was an incident that should take its place in the history of shame of France.

1931  Paris Colonial Exhibition

The exposition opened on 6 May 1931 in the Bois de Vincennes on the eastern outskirts of Paris. The scale was enormous. It is estimated that from 7 to 9 million visitors came from over the world during 6 months. The French government brought people from the colonies to Paris and had them create native arts and crafts and perform in grandly scaled reproductions of their native architectural styles such as huts or temples.

Quotes from the article which the photo was taken:

Coloniale culture›: Josephine Baker as ‹Queen of the Colonies› with her troop at the Exposition Coloniale 1931 – Pernod advertisement with Josephine Baker and her song ‹J’ai deux amours…› for the 1931 exhibition – ‹Pavillon Togo-Cameroun›

At the same time, a high value was placed on modern and “tasteful” relations between the audience and the “indigènes on display”. The address to the visitors in the Guide officiel gave ample space to an educational request for appropriate behavior:These people’s way of living is moving closer to your own today than you think. Turn your attention to their work. Watch how they operate. […] People communicate not only through words; impressions are not limited only to sight. […]The presentations of other people often correspond to your own, but are simply expressed differently. Think about this. May a cultivated and highly French joy animate you, honored visitor […].”

France exhibited the people that she brought from it’s colonies before 1931 too; in the description of the human exhibition on May 5th 1889, there was this sentence (sorry because that word passes here, but this sentence is French used, is not my sentence): “May 5, 1889: tomorrow 400 “Negroes”, Kanaks and Annamites will be the stars of the World Expo.”

Or there was the other one, when the 1st World War was over, Marseille exhibition made in 1922; but this, in 1931 was the bigger one.

Pause note: With “The skeletons in the France’s closet: The Part I and the Part II”, I have studied the Colonial cultures of the French, which have been holding the western part of Africa since the early 1900s and almost 2/5 of the occupation of the continent, also from Vietnam to Madagascar. We have seen people from 140 different countries in Foreign French Legions. France, which began colonialism in the early 1800s, not only exploited the wealth of these countries, but also imposed French culture and language on the people of these countries. France did this with assimilation. It is difficult to predict how difficult it is for those countries lived through. France which is always showing itself next to the democracy and oppressed people, for it, it is always cooling in the gentle shade of France’s hypocrisy, accuses and insults the countries such as Turkey and the people, by advertising itself as if throughout history it did nothing bad, and still does not do anything. With a racist approach, it reaches its sneaky aim by making other peoples enemy against each other.

Perhaps hundreds of thousands of French fans, who live outside of France by ignoring this hypocritical history of France and France’s almost all massacres and exploits throughout human history, and make themself the trumpet of France. What a pity that those who are the instruments of the imperialist devastating policies of France’s are the people who live outside Europe, in the regions where France has always pursued exploitation. Or maybe this situation may be creating theirs racism a camouflage, who knows.

Those who bind their hopes to French interests are betraying their own people in the region they live in. No other country, especially countries like France, will not consider your interests. In this age, year 2018, in the communication age when all kinds of information can be obtained, to be in lack to make analysis, at the first puts you and your people at risk. To do this is foolishness, credulousness. French govenment is a government that upsets the racialism among the peoples, while giving arms to both sides for centuries. Please do not forget that France fills its bank accounts with the profits from this situation while it is patting your back from thousands of miles away.

We came finally in the 1920s. In the last century, the crimes against humanity by France are these (if there are the deficiencies, you can write as comment and I add them to this article). The previous century before 1920, will continue. However, in the middle there will be a research on Armenian-French relations which is a very important subject. With this research in line with own interests of France, sometimes you will learn at the end of 1910s, the great brutality of Armenian gangs under the command of French in Anatolia, in Turkey’s War of Liberation, sometimes you will read how France supported an Armenian terrorist organizations such as ASALA since 1970. Even the historical role of Lebanon in this subject will surprise you. Again and again you will be amazed how French fed Armenian people and the other peoples with seeds of racism and enemity against the Turks during more than centuries and which lie and slander campaigns under “Armenian genocide” name were carried out by France subtly and how western societies did not see all these.

The skeletons in France’s closet” will continue as I said after the Armenian-French relations. Because there are more countries in history, France has exploited, occupyed, massacres and it’s crimes against humanity for centuries in different positions.

The skeletons in France’s closet: Part I

“The skulls of 37 Algerian resistance fighters against France have been on display at the Musée de l'Homme in Paris since 1949.”
The skulls of 37 Algerian resistance fighters against France have been on display at the Musée de l’Homme in Paris since 1949.”

There are skeletons in the closets of almost every country on this planet. Historically, there are very few nations that have not been at daggers drawn with the others. Killing, slaughtering is actually the ancestor’s sport of all mankind. In fact, if we take all kinds of sports together on the other side, the effort and works to shed blood will ensure that almost every country in the multiple Olympics organized annually, receives a lot of medals. This olympic game name might be: “Traditional massacre olympics of humans.” Everybody will return home with happiness, due to the winnings of these Olympics will be determined according to the answers given to the questions such as the number of attacks on which country on an annual basis, how many were killed or slaughtered. The faces would be happy. Also, with these Olympics, every country will leave the mask of hypocrisy on the one side and throw over the whiter than white position which it is hidden behind it. Believe in that, there is nothing that the people can not do to get a reward. In such a case, especially which country could be always in the first three medal surprisingly in all dates of these Olympics? Attention to the definition of “Surprisingly,” .

Because of I already gave spoilers in the title of the article, France will be that country because that will be a world where France is not be able to have the historical hypocrisy of until this day.

There was news on SoL four days ago: The mateship of Trump and Macron: is Paris moving to the US?

And following video in the news:

“Ongoing bromance: ‘Special relationship’ between Trump and Macron”

While the words were said to each other is pushing the upper limit of the flattery, it’s funny to seem these were done like in courtesy. As if the scenes of Trump and Macron looks at each have caught everyone’s attention, if we look at the sub-comments of this video and similar videos. Does this point to the birth of a new love story, haha! I do not think so; already France had a deep romance since America was founded?

Are the skeletons of France’s closet only limited with support for almost every assault action of American governments? Or…

Let’s make a trip to the past. Let’s look at what France made before and after the US was founded. After that, you decide whether France would have had one of the first three medals every year, if “the traditional massacre Olympics of humans” had done?

2011-2018  Syrian Civil war

Since August 2011, France has been involved the Syrian civil war. Between 2011-2018, the French government, including in August 2014 as confirming of French President François Hollande that France had delivered arms to Syrian dissidents against Assad, has joined to the air operations of the UK-led UK in 2015, as last in 2018, by hiding the lie of “We are attacking the chemical weapons store of Assad’s hand,” also supported the American operations.

Most of the individual Syrian dissidents in 2014 are radical Islamist gangs, as defined by the Syrian government. In other words, France, which said to support Kurds on one hand, provided guns to dozens of Islamist opposition group against the Kurds on the other hand. Hollande had said, as the reason for doing this:” We can not leave the only Syrians who are preparing a democracy … without weapons.”

That’s he says briefly: “Democracy can not be unarmed, I give these weapons to the Islamic oppositions if it is necessary, or I give Kurds like YPG if I want. For France, “side” is not a problem. When appropriate, if they did not kill each other enough with the weapons that I have supplied to both, then I would bomb them with the lie of chemical weapons. Because I do all of these things in the name of democracy!”

Above, I mentioned that while France was sending weapons to Islamic dissidents in Syria in August 2014, in the same month of the same year, France announced that they had sent weapons to Kurds in the Iraq. Now can someone give me a reply? If we taking account of the transition between the two countries is weak, can you prove that these weapons, the weapons that France sent to both sides, were not used against each other? Especially if there are Kurds who read this article, please try to respond.

The hypocrisy is innumerable for the French governments. Instead of democracy tale, if they would have said “my pockets will be empty while everyone gets a share from the cake?”, this would be honest. But this is not expected from the French governments. For the French governments, which did the French revolution and seem to have made progress, to have done the French revolution is a great camouflage actually. Behind this colorful and captivating camouflage, out of France there is a very big and stupid human community that is confident of France’s “democracy” calls and tales, who are decieved with this make-up, and French governments which have been self-reliant, selfish, hypocritical, arrogant, pretentious in all history.

It’s important for France to get a share of the cake. Because it is one of the five great colonial states known already in the world history. What France has done in recent years in the Middle East is not limited with Syria.

Already when we pay attention to the 1916 Skyes-Picot treaty, France gets Syria, England gets Iraq. The north of Iraq in todays was included Syria at that time. Here is, a sort of all of under the border southeast Turkey has been promised to France, but it lost this region after a while. Nowadays the whole field of Kurdish autonomous regions in Iraq and Syria is the place that pumps blood into the France’s colonial vein which came from the past. Because France could not come and settle to this area, the Arabs and Turkmens in this region were forced out of their place by large population games and conflicts, and plans to increase the Kurds’ presence were put into place. The large areas under Turkey’s southeastern border have been advertised as part of the Kurdish homeland for years. For this, France gave a lot of support including the PKK terrorist organization, sometimes under the name of “the opposition”. If France was not a country, it would be a good puppeteer.

We will return to the Middle East again, let’s go back to 2011 again.

2011-2013  Libya

damage-in-libya11-1

Is there anyone who wonders what happened this little Libyan boy during last years after the NATO bombs at Libya?

The air strike began to Libya in March 2011 by France, Belgium, England, Canada, France, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Qatar and the United States with the decision was taken by Sarkozy’s invitation and hosted in Paris. The numbers of war casualty between 2013 and 2011 of Libya are on this link.

France, which collected the other countries to Paris with the call of crisis, did not say that the French made the first attacks on Libya with 20 warplanes in the morning hours at 19 march 2011 with the announce of French Defense Ministry with hypocritical “pride”?

lib_206635650_3569040_3569040

The article which the image was taken from: Libya Since 2011 NATO War: A Failed Quasi-State

Also for those wondering what the situation in Libya is now: Six years after NATO ‘intervention’, Libya is home to an ACTUAL slave trade

Libya’s pathetic situation would never end by writing. However, there are plenty of time zones and countries we need to go backwards in the history, to learn the numbers of skeletons in the closet of France.

Between 2001 and 2012, France also served in Afghanistan under the leadership of NATO. Let’s just say this and let’s move on. Even if I only just say, according to the figures in wikipedia France spent 870 million Euros during it’s period of office in Afghanistan. Hmmm, good figure. I do not know what ordinary French citizens think when hear about where their taxes are spent.

Our passing to Africa which started with Libya, continues.

2008,  Chad

The Battle of N’Djamena began on February 2, 2008 when Chadian rebel forces opposed to Chadian President Idriss Déby entered N’Djamena, the capital of Chad, after a three-day advance through the country…. Hundreds died in the battle, which displaced at least 30,000. French forces evacuated foreigners, but also provided intelligence and ammunition for the Chadian National Army and sporadically exchanged fire with rebels.

Chad was one of the France colonies in Africa between 1900-1950. But France influence is still going powerly. Chadian President Idriss Déby has been ruling Chad since 1990. And according to last news, he will be president until 2033! If this has been another country, it would have been very different. But this is Chad.

As long as there is someone in the country who is openly or secretly backed by France, the administration of that country may continue. From time to time by calling out to the world public, by saying how badly Chad is ruled, France can fulfill its commitment to democracy! When they do not want in reality, as same they did to Gaddafi, Déby may replace. Somehow or other, did French oil companies not get enough oil revenue in Chad between 1950-1999?

Chad exports an average of $ 3 billion worth of oil annually. Of course, it does not make any sense to the people of Chad. International petroleum companies, and those who want Chad to be at the head of the administration are interested in this petrol.

The reason of why France can not give up Chad is summarized here:

Despite being landlocked and poor, Chad has long played a critical role in France’s strategy on the African continent…France has maintained a somewhat peculiar relationship with its former African colonies since they gained independence in 1960…Chad served during the Cold War as a vital component of France’s defenses in its former African holdings — uranium-rich Niger, oil-producing Gabon and cocoa-growing Ivory Coast, to name a few. By maintaining a strong military presence in Chad, France was able to guard the abundant resources of its core from the reach of foreign rivals. In exchange for acting as the region’s security guarantor, France also gained preferential access to its markets…Chad’s position in the heart of the Sahel has given France the opportunity to take quick and decisive action in Africa…

child-soldiers
Poverty of the people of Chad, inadequate health and education conditions are at the lowest level. The number of child soldiers has been around 10,000 since 2003.

Some even call for Chad “The death heart of the Africa”. Average life is 47, life expectancy is 44 in Chad. Is there any word needs to say to tell what France did in Chad by leaning it’s back to imperialism, as being playmaker in both openly and background.

2003, 1998, 1997, 1978   Republic of Congo

(Only 2003 is the date France was not alone to intervation to Congo, that one has made under the UN’s operation umberalla)

Congo, as the same with Chad, was the colony of France between 1880-1960. Even if Congo declared its independence in 1960, it became a profit element of French Total from 1968 onwards. The principal element in the French-Congolese relationship was the highly successful oil sector investment of the French petroleum parastatal Elf-Aquitaine (now called Total), which entered the Congo in 1968 and has continued to grow. France is now by far Congo’s principal external partner, contributing significant amounts of economic assistance, while playing a highly influential role.2009, France purchased approximately 9% of Congolese exports, ranking third in total exports; Congo also purchased nearly 21% of its imports from France, which was the most from any one country.

Have you ever heard name of Marien Ngouabi? He was a Congolese military, political and statesman, head of state since 1968, president of the People’s Republic of the Congo in 1970-1977. Founder and leader of the Congolese Labor Party. He pursued a policy based on the ideology of Marxism-Leninism, oriented toward the USSR… Ngouabi declared that his life is threatened by danger, and he accused the problems of Congo is “French imperialism” on March 10, 1977. And interestingly(!) five days later on March 18th, he was killed.

France has never let Congo relax. The number of skeletons in the Congo part of France’s closet is unknown.

2002, 2005, 2007, 2011  Ivory Coast

It is another French colony between 1893-1960. France has made countless military intervention to this country in the following years. Over the years, there were always been French unity and military power in change of administrations, opposition or the power side, countinuisly. If you type in “french economic interests in ivory coast” to Google, you have 11.500.000 results, 0.70 seconds. And in the dates on all these pages are different events from each other. Starting in 1951 and continuing as 2002, 2005, 2007, 2011, in 0.70 seconds, google is giving the result. In your opinion, how many more skeletons which were added in the French closet, as well as the French military interventions, and the very illegal movements that France has done to keep this country out of it’s control? Countless.

Maybe Ivory Coast’s only guilt is that the country is one of the world’s numbered cocoa bean producer. This cocoa is exploited by companies like French chocolate company Cemoi. The Ivory Coast exports $ 3.75 billion of cocoa beans annually. In addition to exporting it, some French chocolate factory factories also have factories in the country. Did you watch this video? In this video, Ivory Coast’s cocoa farmers taste the chocolate very first time. Tragic!

This is a country where produces the cocoa beans which main ingredient of chocolates that children of their own country can not eat. Of course, there is a liberal and fair share of France under this poverty and exploitation!

1994  Rwanda

Rwanda is not the colony of France. Yes. However, you know the movie of “Hotel Rwanda”. It is a dramatic film about the genocide of Rwanda. The Rwandan genocide happened in 1994. In the documents from the French archives of former French president François Mitterrand, it became clear that since 1990, this massacre has been foresighted by France, and also openly supported Hutus and making the death lists.

So while the finger of France is very clearly seeming in the 100 days of genocide and the massacre which 1 million people died, France is accused Turkey on baseless lies, like the Armenian genocide, but France never looks at the real genocides, the real brutalitis, exploitations, massacres in own closet. While France was one of the main responsibilities of this genocide, which happened in front of the eyes of the all world, it gives so-called “civilization” course to Turkey, with complete lies and slanderous Armenian genocide documents, all over the world. As clearly shown in the documents, François Mitterrand, on the one hand while he is drawing a massacre in the background in front of the eyes of the world and while being inclusive, his wife, Danielle Mitterrand, starting from 90’s, was busy to blame Turkey made massacres to Kurds. Danielle Mitterrand who always opened the door to PKK terrorists, was in the status “I defend Kurds’ rights against Turkey.” What a magnificent couple was, this husband and wife!

Besides, Gabon, Comoros, Central African Republic, Somalia, Togo, Cameroon, Burkina-Faso in many times were intervened militarily by France since 1960’s. 1960’s are also the dates of independence days of them; when they rescued themselves from the colonization of France. So, France never left colonialism, it still continues.

CFA franc

Do you know what “CFA Franc” is? It is the name of two currencies used in parts of West and Central African countries which are guaranteed by the French treasury. That’s the innocent definition of it. Let’s come to a clearer definition, and find the answers to such questions of “Why is this money under the treasury guarantee of France?” And with every reply we find, again we would see the bitter side of colonialism under the gentle shadow of France.

The CFA franc orginally the French African Colonial franc – was officially created on 26 December 1945 by a decree of General de Gaulle. It is a colonial currency, born of France’s need to foster economic integration among the colonies under its administration, and thus control their resources, economic structures and political systems. Think of another colonial planet of France. France guarantees the currency of it in the direction of France own currency, fixed rate of exchange with the euro (formerly French franc) unlimited convertibility of CFA francs into euros, and links the foreign currency of these countries to France own currency. What a beautiful colony, is not it!

By going back in history and continue to uncover the skeletons of the France closet, as the last country in Africa, we came to Algeria, perhaps the most important country that France gave suffer in Africa. What could France have done more in Africa, after Rwanda, where France was in the background in the death of close to 1 million people, also while it set up an exploitation scheme that would take the future of millions of people, causing the deaths of thousands with military interventions to other countries?

In 1961, Paris

Please, just watch the video.

Why these Algerian people were killed with huge anger and racism by French in the middle of Paris?Underlying this response is the systematic massacres of the Algerian people by France since 1945.

Quotes from Marxist.org

On May 8, the French colonists organized a demonstration for the end of the war in Europe. The Algerian People’s Party quickly turned this demonstration into a demonstration of independence. Thousands of demonstrators gathered in front of the railway station early in the morning started to walk to the neighborhoods where Europeans lived with the slogan “Freedom to Messali”, “Freedom to political prisoners”, “Freedom to political prisoners”, “Vive the salvation of the people”.

As soon as the numbers reached 10,000, the demonstrators started to wave the star green-white with moon Algerian flag in their hands. Although about 20 gendarmerie have tried to pull the flags away, they could have done nothing against the fury of the enthusiastic demonstrators. Then the cops who came to the scene, shot and killed a young man from his forehead, waving the Algerian flag.

With that, the crowd continued to walk with great anger into the neighborhoods where the French colonists lived. Algerians who have been living under intense oppression and exploitation for years, have attacked Europeans and killed about 100 people.

The actual events came out after that. The French colonists began the bloody counterattack everywhere in Algeria, in the face of the danger of their independence and their movement being out of control. In the country martial law was announced, cities and villages were bombarded from land and sea by French forces. Thousands of people were taken into custody, executed in groups with twenty people each, without question. They forced to dig their own graves before they were killed. The French killed countless people with heavy tortures.

On the most bloody days of the French massacre, the 7th Infantry Regiment, whose majority of its soldiers were Algerian on May 16, 1945, had just arrived at the port of Algeria. After losing half of their presence on Alsace’s front, a small number of surviving soldiers in the hope of meeting their families became horrified when they learned that their villages were wiped from map and their women, children and relatives had been massacred by French troops who fought side by side against Nazism with them. An unarmed and vulnerable people were massacred by French militias and legion troops.

On May 22, when the massacre ended to a large extent, at least 45,000 Algerians were killed. I mean 45,000 Algerians in 6 days.

But this was not limited to 45,000 people.

Another quotes from the article “What did French do in Algeria?

In 1954 the Algerian National Liberation Front was established and its people called rebels against the French occupation. In a short period, the number of those who fought under the flag of the Algerian National Liberation Front increased to 100.00 people. France intervened wildly to suppress the rebellion. French foreign legions, blood-sheding units, fighting units in Vietnam, airborne troops were sent to Algeria. 1 million Algerian lost lives between 1954 and 1962 as the result of the bombardments of the French army, the use of chemical weapons, and the executions in the concentration camps. It has emerged with systematic torture and thousands of people were killed in concentration camps built by the French army which called the villa in UN reports. 2 million Algerians were forced to move out of their homes between 1957 and 1960. Despite this, the Algerian resistance has not been exhausted. Paris has seen it lost the war.

So, 1 million people were killed, 2 million people were forced to migrate from Algeria in 7 years by French. Here at the upper video, in 1961, those killed in Paris were protesters against these massacres.

While we have not yet completed the last century, it has already added millions to the skeletons of France’s closet by adding only Syria and Iraq outside Africa.

It will continue with Part II.

52 YEARS AFTER FASCIST GENOCIDE, INDONESIANS SCARED OF “COMMUNIST GHOSTS”

From Jakarta and Yogyakarta:Andre Vltchek

It was once again a hot, muggy day in Jakarta. The air was full of pollutants, epic traffic jams blocking entire center of the city. Biasa, as locals would say, or in a lax translation, ‘business as usual’.

It is September 29th, 2017, Friday, just one day before the most sinister anniversary in the entire Southeast Asia.

On September 30th, 1965, the Indonesian military obeying orders from foreign powers (mainly the US and the UK), overthrew the progressive and anti-imperialist government of President Sukarno, murdering between 1 and 3 million men, women and children (including almost all members of the Communist Party of Indonesia – PKI). This was done with the direct help of almost all the major religious organizations (Muslim, Protestant, Catholic and Hindu). The bloodshed continued well into 1966, and the “Rivers were choked with corpses and ran red from blood,” as I was told by Pramoedya Ananta Toer, the greatest Indonesian novelist. All the hopes for a socialist, just and egalitarian motherland were wasted.

Before the coup, Indonesia used to be a true internationalist nation, and was one of the proud founders of the Non-Aligned Movement (the West Javanese city of Bandung hosted its establishing conference in 1955). President Sukarno and his progressive and patriotic government used to hold in their hands almost all the natural resources, trying to build a proud, artistic and productive nation. Sukarno once even humiliated the US Ambassador, in front of a huge crowd, at a packed stadium: “To hell with your aid!” He did not need any Western aid. He was presiding over potentially one of the richest nations on Earth.

The Communist Party of Indonesia (PKI), the third largest in the world after those of the Soviet Union and China, was going to win the elections, comfortably and democratically, in 1966, while being fully supported by President Sukarno. Their manifesto was clear: anti-imperialism, social justice and land reforms. But who were some of the largest landowners in Indonesia during that period? Religious leaders! And they, together with the military and corrupt elites, decided: “No!” This has to be stopped! No justice. No internationalism. No socialism.” They betrayed the nation and its people; they committed treason and on September 30, 1965, overthrew socialist democracy.

The results were horrifying. Perhaps the worst massacres of the 20th Century took place. Mass slaughter, mass rape, and cutting off of female breasts, torture, and shortly after the initial horrors, overflowing prisons and concentration camps. Around 40% of all the teachers of Java were slaughtered and the military was substituted into the school classrooms. Film studios and traditional theatres were shut down, and writers were sent to Buru concentration camp. Intellectualism was fully discouraged, while Communism, the Chinese language and culture, but also all progressive arts and creativity were either ridiculed, or out rightly banned. Promoted instead, were Western-style turbo-capitalism (that which was invented for the colonies, not that for the local consumption in Europe and North America), ‘religions’ (based on repetitive rituals, not on intellectual or spiritual search for God), ‘family values’ (read: patriarchal oppression), an empty pop culture, and selfishness, boosted by consumerism. All this combined gave birth to some of the worst corruption levels in the world.

Indonesia as it used to be before September 30, 1965, died. Unable to produce anything of substantial value, it began perpetrating the unbridled plunder of its own natural resources, predominantly on behalf of foreign conglomerates. The entire beautiful and naturally rich, enormous islands, like Borneo (the largest island in Asia and the second largest in the world), Sumatra and Papua, were converted into devastated, poisoned and fully privatized ecological and social nightmares.

*

It seems that killing everything decent and hopeful has not been enough for this regime. Even memories have to be killed, even dreams. The great progressive past of Indonesia is being smeared and twisted, until there is nothing more left, only confusion and mechanical religious, family and commercial rituals.

Now, one of the mainstream Indonesian magazines Tempo put on its 25 September – 1 October 2017 cover: “SEKALI LAGI HANTU PKI” (“Once Again, Ghost of PKI”).

Whenever it suits the corrupt elites, the military and the religious cadres (three main pillars of the Indonesia oppressive regime), the Communist ghost is evoked. It is depicted as a monstrous, nasty, and murderous creature. Indonesian children were taught that the Communist hammer was there to smash the heads of the people, while the sickle was – to cut their throats…

There aren’t many wolves left in the Norwegian wilderness Just 68, in fact.

But Norway’s government has decided even that’s too many. Authorities announced plans this month to kill 47 wolves, or about two-thirds of the remaining population.

The move has sparked both intense criticism and praise. Farmers welcome the cull, claiming wolves threaten their livestock, and therefore their livelihood. Conservationists, on the other hand, condemn the move as an attack on a species that’s already on unsteady ground.

“The wolf population is already very small and critically endangered,” Silje Lundberg, a prominent Norwegian environmentalist, told the U.K.’s Express. “To eradicate 70 percent of such a vulnerable species is shocking.”

In Europe today, there are an estimated 12,000 wolves — a population that has surged in recent years. But only in Norway is the species listed as “critically endangered” due to frequent culling.

When the government announced plans to hunt 11 wolves last year, no less than11,571 people signed up to kill them. Or about 700 hunters for every wolf.

Scientists, however, contend that taking wolves out of the ecological picture will have a profound effect on all wildlife. As a keystone species, wolves play “a unique and crucial role in the way an ecosystem functions,” National Geographic notes. “Without keystone species, the ecosystem would be dramatically different or cease to exist altogether.”

I don’t want to wake up in a day that the bees mass death happened, or the wolves could be killed by governments’ plans on this planet! Humans kill itself enough! Leave the animals and nature alone! And if Norway government puts this plan into action, history will remember this government as “MURDERER!” and it will be judged by future generations as “WOLF KILLER!” Don’t forget that!
