Dr. Bashar al-Jaafari: “The country doesn’t even have a name”

The mentioned country is Saudi Arabia. In fact, the video is telling everything clearly. But there is need to say somethings on it. Because it is so cool speech! 🙂        (By the way, the video has own English subtitles, my earthling friends.)

UN permanent representative for Syria, Dr Bashar al-Jaafari, has bombarded Saudi representative with his words. It was the most pleasant speech I’ve heard in a long time. Maybe for the first time we have heard such a clear and beautiful criticism of the entire process of the Saudi dynasty’s crimes, primarily from it’s assaults in Yemen to the assassination of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was killed at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul.

While the Syrian people have been struggling with threats and civil wars in their region for a very long time, already it would be expected that the speech of the representative of this people will be so confident and correct. For me, his speech is definitely a historical speach! To say exactly what needs to be said in the eyes of the whole world, to speak of all of it, perhaps, it may cause the hypocrisy of the Saudi dynasty to be reduced!

By the way, while we were talking about Syria, I was curious about something like Putin. Yes seemingly, me and him, we have in some common curiosities.:)

What happened to Americans and Europeans who were held by ISIS?

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in in the Black Sea resort city of Sochi at October, 18:
“Islamic State terrorists have delivered ultimatums and made certain demands, threatening to shoot ten people every day. This is just horrible, it is a catastrophe. Some US and European citizens are among the hostages. Everyone is silent about it, as if nothing happened.

According to TASS news, the number of 700 hostages, there are Americans and Europeans. Why US or European officials do not say some things about this? Obviously I understand that these foreign people who were held by ISIS are not civilians. If they had been, their families would speak on news. So they could be mercenaries or some thing like that. It may be that’s why US and European officals do not say about this. They could be the material of a bargain on some thing that we do not know yet its content. Probably we will never learn, and this one would stay as curiosity. Or maybe some day their movies will be on cinemas, who knows.

Half of Iraqi families at risk of hunger after years of war – U.N.

By Umberto Bacchi

ROME, April 10 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – More than half of Iraqi families are at risk of going hungry, a U.N. agency said on Monday, warning of “unprecedented levels of vulnerability” faced by the population due to years of conflict.

Most families in the country will no longer be able to feed themselves if basic food prices increase or fighting escalates, according to the World Food Programme (WFP).

“They can’t absorb any more shocks,” said WFP spokeswoman Dina El-Kassaby.

Conflict and instability have stifled food production in Iraq, according to the United Nations. Farmers face shortages of seeds and fertilizers and many have been forced to abandon their land or sell their animals.

A study by WFP and the Iraqi government found that 2.5 percent of the population, or more than 800,000 people, are going to bed hungry every night.

There are concerns this figure could increase, as two thirds of internally displaced people and more than half of Iraqis living in their homes have barely enough to feed themselves, said El-Kassaby.

Almost 75 percent of Iraqi children under the age of 15 are working to help their families put food on the table instead of going to school, WFP said.

Russia’s Zakharova Invites US’s Power to Visit Syria to Learn ‘Shame’ Meaning

The US ambassador to the UN Samantha Power had claimed that the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs “should be ashamed” for accusing the United States of defending the Islamic State. The reply to her came from Russia’s Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova.

The invitation message was posted by Maria Zakharova on Power’s Facebook page, as a comment under the US diplomat’s statement where she claimed Zakharova should be ashamed of the comments on Washington purported cooperation with the ISIL, TASS reported.

“Dear Samantha Power, in order to learn the meaning of word ‘shame’ I would advise you to visit Syria and meet people there,” Zakharova wrote.

“Not with al-Nusra Front (now, renamed as Fatah al-Sham Front), nor with the moderate opposition, nor about delivery of humanitarian aid for which Washington is worried so much, not with those living in the West who are so concerned about the prosperous future for that country, but meet people, who live there, despite the fact that for almost six years already their country undergoes a bloody experiment, with an active involvement of Washington.”

The foreign ministry’s representative said she has been communicating Syrians, including representatives of the Syrian militant groups, with orphans, who come to rest and receive rehabilitation treatment in Russia, with reporters. So that Power could also have experience of the kind, Zakharova invited her to visit Syria.

“Why not go together?” she said. “All at my expense. Sure, it is not a tour of the UN corridors for the miserable. That trip would be much more breath-taking. Do agree. No fears. Nobody will touch you if you are there with me. But for a possible chance, where yours “by a mistake” deliver a strike somewhere special. You will have things to remember. And, besides, will be able to learn what “shame” means.”

Zakharova also critically commented on Power’s statement the US cannot support the ISIL, since its militants cut off heads of the US citizens.

“To your words claiming the US could not support those who cut off heads of the US citizens, please find attached hereto a picture from Wikipedia “US President Ronald Regan meets a delegation of Afghani militants in the White House in 1983”, Zakharova wrote.

The picture what she mentioned

On September 17, Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesman Maj Gen Igor Konashenkov said the anti-ISIL coalition’s warplanes delivered air strikes on units of the Syrian governmental forces, killing 62 Syrian servicemen and injuring 100 more.

The Syrian command in Deir Ezzur also said that dozens of Syrian servicemen died in the air attack and about 100 more were wounded.

Upon this information, Zakharova said, actions of the kind are pushing Russia to the conclusion about cooperation between the US and ISIL. In response to this statement, Power said the foreign ministry’s representative should be ashamed for the supposition.

Rohingya Migrants Stranded At Sea: Death Inches Closer As We Remain Silent

The images you are about to see perhaps reflect the most insensitive and callous attitude human beings can show towards misery and deprivation caused by our silence, ironically, without being ignorant. Around 400 souls including women and children are dancing around death in a ship in the Andaman Sea since last week, without any food, water, sanitation facilities and healthcare, as no country – Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Bangladesh – wants them on their land.

Reports say that with no food and water available, many desperate voyagers are drinking their urine to survive. Aljazeera reported that a person on board, “went crazy” and jumped to death in the sea.

The fishermen who spoke to the BBC said that:
“We have been told by Indonesian officers that even the refugees are drowning in front of our eyes, to save them would be illegal.”
Fishermen in Aceh region at last week, had rescued 700 people from the sea.
However, without giving his name, a fisherman, despite this ban, he said that : “They’re human beings, we have to rescue them, we will continue to rescue them”

Who Owns the UN? After US Power Says Cut North Korea’s Mic & UN Does, UN Won’t Say Why

Overview

On April 30, US Ambassador Samantha Power told the UN to cut off the microphone of a North Korean diplomat who intervened with a speech in a meeting on UN Conference Room 3, as the speech turned to CIA torture and police brutality in Baltimore and Ferguson, Missouri. This reporter twice asked the UN under what rules it obeyed US Power’s command and cut the mic on another member state; UN deputy spokesperson Farhan Haq said to ask the US, and called this reporter an “obnoxious child.” But why did Power order the cut, and why did the UN obey? Who owns the UN?

UNITED NATIONS, May 1, with UN video — When the US Mission and that of South Korea started an event on human rights in North Korea in UN Conference Room 3 on April 30, from the podium US Ambassador Samantha Power called for the microphone to be turned off on North Korean Counselor Ri Song Chol’s right of reply speech, given too early as it happened. This reporter shot a hand-held video, here; below is a transcription.

After this reporter on April 30 asked UN Deputy Spokesperson Farhan Haq to explain the rules by which the UN cuts the mic on one member state at the request of another, Haq expressed skepticism that the event occurred and said he would have to look into it.

US Ambassador Power said to cut the microphone, then said that UN Security would be called. Ultimately the North Korean delegation left. Inner City Press at the day’s UN noon briefing asked what rules apply.

           ….

Here’s a part of DPRK’s speech:

“The DPRK categorically rejects the groundless allegations made in this event organized by the US and south Korea. “It is well known to the world that the United States pursues the political confrontation and plot against the DPRK even in the international human rights fora as an extension of its hostile policy towards the DPRK. The principal human rights violator of the world is none other than the United States.” “Under the ‘Liberty Statue,’ the United States enjoys its reputation by ranking the Number 1 in murder and crimes by murdering the innocent black people, extreme racial discrimination, sexual abuses against the women, and in the number of prisons and prisoners. These are just a tip of iceberg among the human rights violations committed in the US every day. The acts of racial discrimination committed by the white police officers through shooting, strangling, and beating to death the African-Americans in several cities of the US such as Ferguson and Baltimore as well as cruel and barbarian acts of torture by the CIA in the secret prison camps in all parts of the world clearly show that the US, so-called guardian of ‘freedom’ and ‘human rights,’ is the true kingpin of human rights violations and the barren land of human rights.” “The United States has no rights to raise the human rights issues of other countries, as it officially detain people, without any legal procedures, and brutally torture them in secret prisons placed in several countries around the world. The United States should disclose whole part of the report on torture by the CIA at detention centers, accept the international special investigation and take measures to punish those responsible for those crimes. It is preposterous for the US to accuse other’s human rights. The US is better advised to correct its own faults in human rights.”
