Old black-white French noir movies, my love life and toilet door

This folk song is perhaps the most appropriate song that describes the general situation of my love life. It is a very fun song, isn’t it?
What it tells with its lyrics in the general sense:

“You said me on monday we would go to date, I came but you were not. You deceived me.
-Yes, it is true, I deceived you.
You said me on tuesday, you would kiss me, I came but you were not. You deceived me.
-Yes, it is true, I deceived you.
You said me on wednesday, we would go to walk together. I came but you were not. You deceived me.
-Yes, it is true, I deceived you.
You said me on thursday, you would come to concert with me, I came but you were not. You deceived me.
-Yes, it is true, I deceived you.

…”

In short, the song is the story of a lover man who is deceived in all the days of the week by his lover.

Is it similar with my love life? Actually, it is not at all! Because, I do not even have a darling who can fool me during a week!

My love life has hit the bottom again. Whenever I meet a lady dog who stolen my heart, that big love ends before it’s beginning. A lot of things that can happen, are evaporating all in a moment.

My love life is like old black-white French noir movies.

giphy

Numerous depressions, despairs, and coincidences that are not certain where it come out. At the end, that is me, who can not even know where will bump into! I, who even can not stand watching these French movies for 5 minutes, I have to live it in real life. Maybe I am the most unfortunate dog of world history!

Recently, with a lady dog which I fall in love, I came in front of a door seller’s shop. How I came here is a different matter. Of course that event was linked to Migo. The toilet door was not closing. Migo, had to take out the lock part of the door and tried to fix it. But of course, he could not do. After a two-day long struggle, he thought that he would work on it more easily by removing the door. He took the door off. He changed the latch bolt, but in this time he could not replace the door in its place again. The toilet door was open for three days, because we do not have toilet door. On the fourth day, Migo thought that the door was swollen due to it was old, and needed a new door. Then we started looking around the door sellers. I came across the gorgeous lady dog who played with my heart of the second shop we entered.

Just like in this video, she was cute, confident, and dangerous. I did not know what will I do when I saw her. My heart was beating fast. I went to her side and tried to chat. But she did not even look at my face. She turned around and went to next the shop owner. By the way, Migo was bargaining with the shop owner when he heard that the door price was too high. The voices of the shop owner and Migo rised against each other. Before I could not understand what it was, we quickly left the shop with Migo. Migo was saying, “They are thieves, it is just a door, how this price could be!” When I returned my back, I saw the magnificent lady dog inside the shop, while she kept her guard up next to shop owner and scowled at me.

Migo had finished my love life before it started! Yes, he was responsible again. If we had bought the door from that shop, maybe I would have a chance to get a date with that wonderful lady dog. But as I said, I’m not even in a position to say that folk song. There is no lady dog who will deceive me!

It’s all Migo’s fault! As usual! Damn you, Migo!

In the meantime, if you are curious about the toilet door, Migo called one of his friends and they both put the old door in its place with together. Migo’s friend told him, “if you had called a locksmith at first, it would not have been a problem for so many days.” I had told same to Migo at the first day, but who listened to me!

Pentagon Rebuked for Draft Suggesting Nuclear Response to Cyber Attacks

With new nuclear policy draft, the Pentagon is «winding the Doomsday Clock in the wrong direction.»

Published on

A new policy draft from the Pentagon suggests the use of nuclear weapons by the U.S. in the event of non-nuclear attacks—a huge departure from decades of nuclear policy.

Anti-nuclear advocates on Wednesday denounced a draft Pentagon report pushing the use of nuclear weapons by the United States to respond to non-nuclear attacks—a major departure from the policy that’s been in place for decades.

The draft Nuclear Posture Review expands the definition of the «extreme circumstances» in which the U.S. could use nuclear force, notably suggesting that such weapons could be used in the event of cyber attacks.

«Common sense must prevail, and the U.S. must move to a world where the use of nuclear weapons is less likely, not more likely,» said Beatrice Fihn, executive director of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), in a statement.

«There is something seriously wrong with an administration who thinks the unilateral power for one person to end the world is somehow not enough power.»—Beatrice Fihn, ICAN

«They are winding the Doomsday Clock in the wrong direction,» she added, referring to the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists» symbolic measure of humanity’s proximity to nuclear  catastrophe.

The draft was released after months of escalating tensions between the U.S. and North Korea over the latter’s reported nuclear activities. Amid calls from nuclear policy experts to bring Kim Jong-un’s government to the negotiating table, President Donald Trump has responded to reports of nuclear tests by North Korea by threatening to «totally destroy» the country of 25 million people, while taunting Kim on social media.

While the U.S. and Russia hold about 93 percent of the world’s nuclear weapons, according to the Ploughshares Fund, Trump has repeatedly attacked previous administrations for allowing North Korea to proliferate nuclear weapons at all.

Meanwhile, the Nuclear Posture Review draft suggests that the U.S. is searching for ways to increase its already-significant advantage over the small, isolated country.

«These new leaks from the Pentagon show they are trying to make it easier for Donald Trump to use nuclear weapons,» said Fihn. «Does anybody seriously think it was not easy enough already? There is something seriously wrong with an administration who thinks the unilateral power for one person to end the world is somehow not enough power.»

Russia, Turkey & Syria Condemn US Creation Of Kurdish “Border Force” — American Everyman, — and My Post About the Issue

from Penny for Your Thoughts I covered the “border force” creation January 7/2018

I covered the “border force” creation January 7/2018 US Plans to Recognize Annexed Syrian Territory as Kurdish. And had actually thought about doing a reminder post yesterday on this news, but, decided against it out of fear of being to repetitive.
Clearly the US is making preparations to officially recognize the annexed Syrian territory- which was always THE PLAN! As has been stated here repeatedly.  No gibberish about a plan a/plan b was presented here- THE PLAN has been to remake the region. Balkanize Syria.
Replaying Kosovo.

“Last week, it was reported that a new ‘North Syrian Army‘ which included SDF formations and backed by the US-led coalition, was being created to carry out ‘border security duties’ in territories under their control.”

Damascus has voiced its opposition to the US presence and operations on Syrian territory, including Rojava, saying that it does not accord with the principles of international law, including respect for Syria’s territorial integrity. The Syrian government has insisted that US operations inside Syria are illegal, since they were never invited into the country by Damascus.

Go back to December 30/2017:

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis Sees U.S Civilian Presence Increasing in Syria

Mattis said :”What we will be doing is shifting from what I would call an offensive, shifting from an offensive terrain-seizing approach to a stabilizing [effort]…you’ll see more U.S. diplomats on the ground,” Mattis told reporters at the Pentagon. “Shifting from an OFFENSIVE, TERRAIN- SEIZING APPROACH….”

Penny said:  Land grabbing. As stated for years now. For that Greater Israel..

The term “border force” is a manipulative, perception management term chosen to obfuscate the fact that the US is creating an occupying army to hold on to the Syrian territory annexed by the PKK/YPG terrorists and the USrael.

Onto the latest.
Chronicle Herald
Russia, Turkey and the Syrian government on Monday denounced the U.S.-led coalition plans to form a Kurdish-led border force to secure the areas along Syria’s international border to the north with Turkey and to the east, with Iraq.

And the southwest with Syria. Not reported because the chronicleherald is obfuscating or hiding reality.
The core of the force is to be made up of fighters from the existing Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces, the coalition’s main ally in the fight against Islamic State militants. The SDF currently controls nearly 25 per cent of Syrian territory in the north and east”

“Assad’s government on Monday also condemned the U.S. plans for the border force, calling it “a blatant encroachment upon the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of Syria” and a violation of international law.”

Turkey and Russia blast US backed Syrian Force as a “terror army”

Which is, in fact, what it is!

– Russia, Turkey and the Syrian government on Monday denounced the U.S.-led coalition plans to form a Kurdish-led border force to secure the areas along Syria’s international border to the north with Turkey and to the east, with Iraq.

I have been ostracized for pointing out the obvious fact, years ago, that the PKK/YPG  Kurdish militias were backed by the US and  they were displacing Syrians and annexing territory?  There is post after post of evidence here demonstrating this reality. Instead the media alt and 5 eyes cheered the US backed terrorists on! It’s easy to be the best fighter against ISIS when your on the same team! Hence my creation of the term KurdIShIS!

Reuters

BEIRUT/MOSCOW (Reuters) – Syria, Turkey and Russia responded vehemently on Monday to new U.S.-backed plans to set up a 30,000-strong “border force” inside Syria to protect territory held by Washington’s mainly Kurdish allies.

The Syrian government vowed to drive the U.S. presence from the country. Turkey, an increasingly estranged U.S. ally within NATO, accused Washington of setting up a “terror army” on the Turkish border, and said it would take steps to protect itself.

Russia, the main ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, said the U.S. plans revealed a plot to partition Syria.

Yes, it does reveal the plot to partition Syria

My Post About the Issue

I was glad to read this article. It’s good to see that people say similar things that I’ve said for years. That’s why I needed to share it. Thank you to “Penny for your thoughts” for this article! I have put it before mine, because it already explained the issue well, if I had written I would have written very similar things.(By the way while I was sharing post the pictures cannot be added that’s why weird blank images happened in the post)

Now, when the majority think that the war in Syria is over, American government says that shortly “I will make an army from the 30,000 YPG-PKK militans and put them on border protection.” YPG is known as the mainly-Kurdish militia that the western media has introduced them as the freedom fighters; until today, the epics were written almost nearly like Spatacus by western media. Freshwater leftists also stood behind them, by saying, “But they are heroes who resist against the oppressive regimes.”

PKK is the terrorist organization has carried out the bloody terrorist actions in Turkey, since 1984. It is obvious that American governments have helped them for decades. Why obvious, because almost all of the weapons seized from them are western countries and American-made. I do not even count the progagandas and hypocritical politics by western politicians and media.

And also there is another one, it is PJAK and it is branch of PKK in Iran.

Until today, you know my earthling friends, especially until a year ago, in my blog I wrote so many things about that neither the YPG nor the PKK are fighting for freedom, they are the militants that the American and Israeli governments both support. Even I have been banned very much by some bloggers due to I have said these, but it’s all been in vain.

Anyway, I am sure some of you are remembering my this post.

There is nothing new on the eastern front

Post date, 9 September 2016. I was saying at there and by putting this picture:

287982754_220feda33e

This map was prepared by an American officer in 2006 and published by the Armed Force Journal.

The real issue is to create the puppet Kurdish state, actually in real to create Israel-Kurdish state at the region on very large lands. The map we all saw, it is about to create state for Israel aims, it has never been about with to establish free Kurdish state. In first already we have seen this map which made by Ralph Peters who was former lieutenant colonel United States Army in 2006.

Today I decided to explain this map a bit. It is not possible for everyone to know the region and country boundaries. Especially for those who live far from the region, hard to know the borders of Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Syria, where they begin and end. I want to explain this.

I. map

imperialist-dream-of-dividing-the-region-to-create-greater-kurdistan-640x381

This map is a slightly enlarged version of the map of the American officer, Free Kurdistan has been the Greater Kurdistan. I am putting it here because it shows that it is actually closer to their purpose, and I could not find the biggest one of first one.

In reality, the borders of the countries are as follows; so approximately.

II. map

borders

I know I am very bad about to line drawing(:)), but you know, I did my best to draw the borders of these countries.

In this II. map, it shows that Syria lost its 1/3 lands, and northern Syria(so the part of I indicated with blue letters) is under control by US government and its back up forces right now, Kurdish militans YPG and the others. Only the part of  the westernmost, is under control of Turkey.

As same as the norhthern Iraq has been Iraqi Kurdistan you know.

So, Iraq and Syrian parts of the I. map are almost complete.

And according to the I. map, (because we can see that the map of the American military officer has made the border change in the two countries-Syria and Iraq- in ten years.) after these, the order is becoming to Turkey and Iran.

Did someone say the Syria war over!

Now if the US’s control is continueing at the northern Syria and provocative arming the people, and if US government insists to be against Iran, Syria, Russia and Turkey, the big wars will come. And those ones will be more worse than previous. Because according to I. map, almost 1/3 lands of Turkey, and 1/4 lands of Iran are under the risk.

And both these two countries Iran and Turkey are not like Syria and Iraq.

When we said that these developments will be experienced in the region, and that it was a big plan like cutting lands from Syria and Iraq and others, they called us paranoiac. Here are the maps in the middle. What is happening is obvious. I am wondering do they still think we’re paranoiac?

Do you know why I’m tired my earthling friends? To see the constant war and the people who have been killed or expelled from their country due to terror and the war consequences in every minute, every day a new economic crisis (because there is almost war economy), constantly dissociated people, constantly increasing nationalist and religious rhetorics at the region, and so on. I was tired even when I wrote these. 🙂

I am sure about I am not going to write about this subject for a long time, that’s why I’m adding right now a possible future scenario in here. Yes, this is a scenario that is in the head of an extratrerrestrial. When this scenario will be happen, I am going to say at the future by adding my this post: “Look I told you before”. What an ego, haha!

Here it is my scenario:

US forces will continue to stay in Syria. Turkey kept under control in the western part of Syria’s in a year will pass to Kurds who are into the hands of American goverment control. North of Syria will be fully considered in Syria Kurdistan. It’s the same as in Iraq. Maybe they’ll do a referendum in Syria for show only. Syria will want to resist it, especially for the waterways, but it will have to deal with it and accept it in some way. PKK and PJAK terrorists events will begin within a year will improve in Iran and Turkey. After a while, in Turkey’s south eastern and northern of Iran, there will not be only the PKK and PJAK, there will be also their contrast, so the religious references militants as it was the same and Syria and Iraq (they exist already from now; such as ISIS terrorists who fleeing from Syria and Iraq until now). Perhaps, they will try to establish a new one, an another Islamic state. Already, whenever they want to establish an Islamic state, the result always be a puppet Kurdish state. What a coincidence. 🙂 It is a Kurdish state under the control of America and Israel.

There is no need to think too much on how this could be happen in Iran, because its Shia and etc. It would be the same. It happens in Iran too. This will depend on how much they will compress Iran from the outside economically.

In Iran and Turkey the religious and nationalist rhetorics will increase in thoroughly. The most people will think more that these are the most valid basis not to the division of the countries. (Due to neither the administrators of the countries nor the people do not understand that it will not be a policy with religious discourses, or, the managers know that this is the best way to put the people to sleep, they have always been the pawns of the imperialists of western, knowingly or unknowingly.) It could be thinking that if Islamists and Kurdish terrorists are fighting, why Islamic rhetoric increase? It is important to remember that there are many sects in Islam religion, and the disintegration within them is always a sharp. American government will not have the ability to directly intervene in this time. So it can not send military units to these countries with the reason of Kurdish and Islamic fights. Because one of them is Iran the other one is Turkey. Due to this reason, they will do everything they can to bring civil war in these two countries, for an international intervention could be realized by the hand of American government.

In this point, there are two options: if the civil wars break out in these countries, and if the civil wars not break out.

If it breaks out, I need to say, the civil wars in these two countries(Iran and Turkey) will paint with bloods to all regions. And the worse economic collapse will strike all world. So all of the peoples on the planet will be fu*ked up.

That’s why US and some European politicians will act and say (via their propagandas) such as “the civil war almost coming in these two countries and there is need to international solution immediately”. While they supporting the terrorists on the other hands.

So, as if there is civil war already, but due to their civilisations(!) they will want to bring issue to UN.

Probably in the first five years, the small lands from I. map will be taken from Turkey and Iran, and at there the kind of federations will be establish Kurdish states; such as an independent in inside, dependent on the outside. After the next two years they will declare their independence and many western countries will already declare that, especially America, immediately they will recognize these Kurdish states as countries.

Even though if I passed soft the seperated of the countries with the civil war, it will not be. Because the peoples of these two countries, Iran and Turkey depend excessively on their lands. There will be many conflicts and many people will die. Terror will increase.

There is a saying in Anatolia: “to convince for malaria by showing death.” Here likewise, in Iran and Turkey, it will be shown the death, and will convince the people for malaria. Initially, Iran and Turkey people will not agree to the decision of UN, even if they oppose it, but they will accept finally, due to they will not be able to afford more conflicts.

In the meantime, the terror will not limited with in Turkey and Iran. It will spread even to Russia more. Because there are many Islamic militants in old Soviets soils. And their numbers will increase. Already if you look at the map I. again, the mess areas will be more close to Russia anymore. So the Israel-US’s puppet Kurdish states will be the places where almost anybody cannot know what happen at there.

Already NATO bases in the east of Europe are at the command of the United States, even in the Black Sea, America is able to military exercise freely, from the west to Russia there is a threatening approach, we know. It will be unclear what will come with the terrorists from the south. When Turkey and Iran will lose the part of the territories in 7 to 9 years in my scenario, and will be weaker, so the two powerful countries as allies of Russia will be weak. There is China left behind as powerfull ally of Russia. This is actually a very long issue, but shortly I think within 10 years China will strengthen its relations with the United States rather than fight with America to consolidate its position in the world market, and China will not be a powerful ally of Russia anymore.

In other words, a serious economic crisis will be at the door of Russia after 10 years. Because during this time Russia will have to transfer more money to defend industry, so the people will become poorer and it will be very difficult to establish this balance anymore.

So in short, according to my scenario, my earthling friends, any war isn’t over, even bigger ones are coming. Are we ready! I do not know what the administors of the countries are talking about behind the closed doors, of course, but looking at what has happened so far, the scenario of this extraterrestrial seems pretty close to reality.

Of course, a lot can be done to prevent coming wars. First, it is necessary that the governments of the region to balance the income distribution, to leave religious discourses, to reduce the debt-tax burden from the public and to provide more free speech conditions. If these are done, the rhetorics of western imperialists will never find a response in the countries of the region. They do not have existence in a place where they can not find a response. It’s that simple.

By the way of course, my scenario could be canceled if Kim Jong Un presses a single button, haha!

TUDEH: ‘Only progressive forces can determine Iran’s future’

soL News talked to Mohammad Omidvar, the spokesperson of Iran’s communist TUDEH party, about the recent tide of protests in Iran.

Thursday, 04 January 2018

soL News interviewed with Comrade Mohammad Omidvar, member of the Politburo and Spokesperson of the CC of the Tudeh Party of Iran, which has operated as an underground communist organization following the Islamic revolution of 1979, regarding the recent protests in Iran. The demonstrations started in response to a surge in fuel and food prices in the country, as well as unemployment and inflation. At least 20 people have reportedly been killed during the protests.

Omidvar says that the progressive and democratic forces of Iran must increase their presence in the protest movement of the masses against the reactionary forces, supported by the U.S., Israel and Saudi Arabia, which attempt to hijack the people’s struggle for freedom, democracy and social justice.

soL: What is the context and what are the main drivers behind the current wave of protests in Iran? Can you also comment on the impact of neoliberal economic policies on the current crises?

Mohammad Omidvar: As per our Central Committee’s statements over recent days, the Iranian people’s protest against the regime has its roots in the deep socio-economic crisis in Iran. The neoliberal policies of the Iranian regime over the past two decades – fully supported and indeed praised by the World Bank and IMF – have pushed millions of Iranians below the poverty line and into a life of hardship un-paralleled in our recent history. Rampant inflation, especially the rise in the price of basic commodities beyond ordinary peoples’ means, combined with massive unemployment, especially amongst the youth – which, according to officials in some provinces, is as high as 50% – as well as the continued suppression of peoples’ democratic rights and freedom, have pushed our country to the point of this social explosion in anger against the rule of political Islam.

It is also worth mentioning that, prior to these massive protests, we had increasing workers’ protests in various industries and in different cities across the country against unpaid wages (some of whom had gone over a year without their due pay), widespread privatisation, lack of job security, poor treatment by employers, lack of workers’ rights and a total ban on independent class-oriented trade unions.

Based on the reports, there are different protests with different demands, carried out by different groups, under different slogans. Why do these demonstrations vary from city to city or even between different protests in the same city? While some protests are reacting against the Rouhani government, some others are more vocal about ‘regime change’. In your opinion, what is the necessary path to be followed?

The escalation in peoples’ discontent and anger towards the regimes’ leaders for the deteriorating socio-economic situation and – more importantly – the readiness and willingness of the frustrated masses to take on the suppressive apparatus of the regime, is an important indication of the significant developments in the preparedness of the people in opposing – and waging an open struggle against – the rule of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is understandable that under a brutal dictatorship, organisation and coordination of the huge number of demonstrations – sometimes in more than 50 towns and cities across the vast country – has its own constraints. But the slogans, in the main, voice important economic and political demands by the people, target corruption in all branches of power and declare that all key factions in the thus far prevailing power structure are fully responsible for the deep socio-political crisis in the country.

Contrary to the claims of some leaders of the pro-regime reformists that such protests are “conspiracies” against the Rouhani presidency by the hardliners, we deeply believe that the majority of the people of our country are disappointed and frustrated with the slogans of those whose only objectives are to make some cosmetic and minor adjustments to the current regime. Our people are now demanding fundamental changes in the governance of the country. Today, only those who would like to somehow preserve the current disastrous situation fear the escalation and growth of the people’s struggle.

The experience of the last two decades and several presidential, parliamentary, provincial and local elections that have been held and manipulated under the control and direction of the Supreme Leader, has proved that the people are rapidly moving away from the strategy of making a choice between “bad and worse” and are no longer willing to submit to the manipulation of their demands by the regime and the pro-regime reformists whose roles, these days, are to serve the strategic interests of the regime.  It is also worth mentioning that, from our point of view, the current power structure in Iran centres around the “Supreme Religious Leader” (Vali Faghieh), his close allies in the religious hierarchy, the leadership of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (Sepah Pasdaran) and other security forces.

The class base of the Iranian ruling clique is the big merchant and bureaucratic bourgeoisie. This corrupt and anti-peoples’ power structure has moved towards controlling not only all of the political apparatus but also most of the economic levers – plundering the country’s wealth on a scale not seen in Iran over the past four decades.

Attempts over the past two decades to introduce some superficial reforms and the fashioning of a more moderate face for what, at the end of the day, remains a medieval dictatorship, have failed and therefore it is not surprising that the overwhelming majority of the people in Iran today want to put an end to the despotic theocratic regime; to end the oppression and injustice; and bring about the establishment of human and democratic freedoms and social justice. We believe that these demands can only be achieved through a joint struggle of all the national, democratic and freedom-loving forces in Iran without any foreign intervention.

Of course, Israel-USA-Saudi Arabia trio sees the protest as an opportunity to get rid of the obstacle against their policies in the Middle East, but do protests have a potential to be manipulated and meet the expectations of this alliance or Iranians already put a distance with their demands with the expectations of imperialism? Do you think, Iranian protests are immune to imperialist manipulations which had driven the rightful protest in the early days of Syria into a full-scale proxy war against Syrian people?

The Central Committee of the Tudeh Party of Iran, in its first reaction to the people’s protest against the regime, clearly indicated that under the critical conditions of the current dangerous regional tensions and Imperialism’s desire to control the Persian Gulf and its oil flow, the regional reactionary forces – supported by the Trump administration and the right-wing government of Netanyahu in Israel and the Saudi criminal regime – are seeking to distinctly impact the developments in our country and to replace the current reactionary regime with another reactionary regime.

The support of these forces – i.e. US imperialism, the regional reaction, and the right-wing government of Netanyahu – for the Iranian monarchists and those political groups whose agenda is to cooperate with the most reactionary regimes of the region and to persuade the European states to impose sanctions on Iran’s economy – (thereby exacerbating the misery for the destitute and disadvantaged people of our country) and to encourage foreign states to intervene militarily in Iran, leaves no room whatsoever for any optimism regarding the future designs of such “opposition”.

We have emphasised that the progressive and democratic forces of Iran must increase their presence in the protest movement of the masses – more than ever before – providing proper people-oriented slogans, offering sensible guidance and relying on the legitimate demands of the masses for abolishing the existing suppressive regime and ending the economic deprivation, oppression, injustice and plundering of the natural and human resources of the nation, while sidelining and opposing reactionary and divisive slogans. We believe we must learn from our past experiences and what happened following the 1979 revolution and not allow the heroic struggle of our people for freedom, democracy and social justice to be hijacked by a bunch of reactionary opportunists who do not believe in the people’s rights or democratic freedoms.

During his election campaign, Rouhani presented the nuclear deal as a success story and expected to overcome the problems with imperialist countries as long as Iran integrated to the global capitalist system. While international sanctions were eased, the US didn’t put an end to its unilateral sanctions against Iran. Do you think the nuclear deal was a success story for Iran or not?

Following the agreement in January 2016, our party stated that after years of destructive sanctions imposed on our country by the USA and EU countries, as a result of the ill-advised and adventurist policies of Iran’s Supreme Leader [Ayatollah Khamenei] and his appointees, the negotiations between Iran and the 5+1 group were concluded with an agreement that did not equate to a victory for Iran whatever the claims of the regime to the contrary. At the time, in his radio-TV interview, Hassan Rouhani [Iranian President] said: “…today we have reached a turning point…

As of today, Iran’s nuclear programme is no longer, under any fictitious pretext, a threat to global and regional peace. Rather, Iran’s nuclear programme will serve modern technology in line with the development of the country, and the stability and security of the region…” There is no doubt that the implementation of the agreement was a significant event that had a substantial impact on political developments in our country. There were certain improvements in diplomatic relations between the Iranian regime and the US administration.  However, despite all the propaganda claims of the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) and the assessments of a number of opponents as well as supporters of the theocratic regime, the government of Hassan Rouhani effectively agreed to all conditions limiting Iran’s nuclear industry in return for the lifting of the sanctions and the release of Iran’s assets by the West.

At the time, our Party welcomed the move away from tension and conflict and the lifting of the horrendously damaging economic sanctions, which were badly hurting ordinary people and the economy in Iran. Two years on it must be said that people have seen very little benefits in terms of an improvement in their economic situation as most of the financial benefits have gone straight to the regime’s leaders and their cronies. Under the continuing pressure of the US international banking system, the banking and monetary sanctions were never lifted and, this in effect, maintained the difficulties for Iran’s international trade with the rest of the world and the lot of the vast majority of ordinary Iranians.

What is your Party’s view on external interference in Iran and its danger to the people’s movement? Can you elaborate with reference to the positions taken by Trump, the Israeli government, Saudi Arabia and the forces they support?

After Donald Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia – and subsequently to Israel – in late May 2017, the Persian Gulf and the Middle East are once again witnessing an escalation in tensions that could further destabilise the safety and security of the region and, in our view, have dangerous and destructive consequences for our country. During this visit, Trump clearly indicated his support for the dangerous adventurist policies of the Saudi Arabian leadership and offered Israel a carte blanche in pursuit of its dangerous policies towards the Palestinian people and the region as a whole, singling out Iran as a target. The threatening and belligerent statement of the reactionary Defence Minister of Saudi Arabia that “we will work so that we take the battle inside Iran” was promptly followed by the first bloody terrorist attack to be carried out by Daesh (IS) in Tehran.

Rex Tillerson, the United States Secretary of State, also declared US support for “regime change” in Iran in an intervening speech. Among other indications of the escalation of tensions in the region were attacks by US forces, on the paramilitary forces backed by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran operating in the eastern regions of Syria. This combined with recent Saudi claims that long-range missiles fired by Houthi rebels in Yemen towards Riyadh are provided by Iran, indicate the high levels of tension and the serious threats facing Iran. It is worth mentioning that the foreign policy of the United States during the Obama administration, with regards to Iran, had considered a special role and position for the Islamic Republic of Iran in the “New Middle East Plan” in which the coexistence and conciliation of Iran’s theocratic regime with US hegemony in the region were articulated.

However, the evidence now suggests that the Trump administration is pushing to impose new conditions and to make specific changes to this framework. This involves a lessening of the role and weight of Iran’s regime in regional developments, in favour of Saudi Arabia. In this context, Tillerson’s recent references to “peaceful regime change” in Iran should be looked at from two angles as regards the new tactics of the US. Firstly, there is the reviving of the failed project of “making alternatives” to act as the “regime’s opposition” by utilising some of the vehemently pro-US forces opposed to Iran’s theocratic regime, such as the monarchists and the People’s Mojahedin of Iran Organisation (MKO).

And, secondly, there is the re-implementing of an aggressive diplomacy to enable US political-security leverage in the region through the fanning of tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia under the well-worn mantra of “fighting terrorism”, and the sewing of divisions between the countries in the region under the false pretext of the confrontation between “Shia” and “Sunni”. And here, it is particularly important to note the contracts for sale of modern military hardware and technology by the US to Saudi Arabia worth $300bn over the next three years.

There have also been credible suggestions made of a secret deal, reached in December 2017, between the US and Israel to confront and take down Iran.

We evaluated the election and coming to power of Donald Trump, and his slogans and policies, to be very worrying. Our concern is not one predicated on the inexperience, narcissism or unpredictability of Trump, but rather the belief that the bringing of Trump to the presidency was a purposeful move by the warmongers and extreme right-wingers in the USA to mobilise and gather together the most reactionary and dangerous forces of the ultra-right around the world. The power structure in the Trump administration – just like the power pyramid structure of the Islamic theocratic regime of Iran – consists of dangerous elements who believe in the waging of war as a means to solving wider issues.

The crises of the regime in Iran are the results of the fundamental contradiction between the economic interests and the freedom-seeking demands of our nation on the one hand and those of the theocratic regime on the other. This is a contradiction which is ever growing and thus naturally the theocratic regime veers from one crisis to another, graver each time. Both Ali Khamenei and Donald Trump are deceitful leaders who would without hesitation lie to their people to stay in power. They would resort to any option to overcome the various crises they face.

The progressive and patriotic forces of our country should not let the interventionist policies and practices of the United States, and its reactionary allies such as the criminal regime in Saudi Arabia and the ultra-right-wing anti-people government of Netanyahu in Israel, determine the future of our country.

We have clearly and repeatedly stated that the Tudeh Party of Iran is strongly opposed to any external interference in our country’s domestic affairs and believe that the future of Iran should only be determined by its peoples and the struggle of its progressive forces to put an end to the despotic regime.
