Women’s march

Hulya Sen; she was working as a family doctor in Istanbul before April 16, presidental referendum of Turkey, but after April 16, she resigned from her office and began a march to Ankara, the capital city of Turkey for the annulment of the referendum.

-April 17 is the start day of Dr. Hulya Sen march; in Kadıkoy square while she is greeting the other “No” activists when they are sitting.-

Dr. Hulya Sen has said about the start of the march from Istanbul to Ankara:

“The results of the referendum were announced at same night in April 16, I was in Kadıkoy square. There were tens of thousands of people at there, and none of them was seemed in a state to go back homes already. There was a rejection, there was nonacceptance; because, the referendum was shady, there were the ballots without an authenticating stamp to count. People walked rightward to leftward in Kadıkoy. They entered the streets, then they went out. The rain started and everyone went home. We woke to a day with “yes”. I did not have anything to go and study. I also do not believe that the state is the same state which I started to work 25 years ago. ‘I need to separate my road,’ said to myself. I resigned and decided to go for a march. It was kind of desperation. Because, this is a situation which neither the people can seat nor can sleep; also can not work. Walking was helping for me, that was what came to mind. I’ve started a person, but I am no longer single person. I know we’re a huge crowd.”

The result of referendum that Dr. Hulya Sen mentioned, has been announced as “the yes vote is about 51.4% and, 48.6% for the no vote” for a new presidental sytem of Turkey.

According to the result of the referendum, the map of Turkey has been shaped as follows.

Hayır means “no” ; Evet means “yes” in Turkish

The area’s size which belongs to higher “yes” votes, so colourised with white color seems bigger than the area’s size which belongs to higher “no” votes, so colorised with orange color. However, the population of “No” votes area is higher than the “Yes” votes area in Turkey. Especially at the west cities, more than half of population of including Istanbul, Izmir, also Ankara the capital, and total 17 metropol cities’ population gave “no” vote against the new presidental system of Turkey. (In Turkey there are 30 metropol cities)

Of course, the cities with more “No” votes are the cities of higher populations and the cities with more “yes” votes are the lower population cities, do not indicate that “no” will be the dominant result. It can be said that the situation can be balanced between the lower population cities where “yes” votes reaches to 70% or 80% and two major populations of Turkey such as Istanbul and Ankara where the 51% “no” votes outcome. For example, in Istanbul about 11 million voters number is equal with almost 15 middle cities’ voters number in Anatolia. If these 15 middle cities gave the “yes” votes in high percent, so let’s say average is about 75%, this can be balanced the Istanbul 51% “no” votes. But it is still very difficult question to answer: How can be possible this result, while about 49 million people live in these 17 metropol plus 16 other cities where the “no” votes are higher? Turkey population according to last datas, is about 80 million. In this regard at the population of the cities where the “yes” votes are higher, is about 31 million people.

Before Dr. Hulya Sen started to her march, the question mark about the ballots without an authenticating stamp to count, has been confusing for many people, as she stated.

What is the issue about the ballots without an authenticating stamp?

The day 16 of April, at referendum day,

Before the referandum, High Electoral Board of Turkey, YSK, had been announced also made a video about how referendum will be made for the voters and the parties’ officials who will work on the ballot boxes. According to rules of referendum the ballots and the envelopes which ballots will put in, had to be officially stamped. However, while voting was underway, even half an hour before the end of voting in western cities and half an hour after voting in eastern cities is over -(in Turkey west cities’ voting process is finishing in 5 pm, east cities in 4 pm)- High Electoral Board of Turkey announced the ballots’ envelopes that had not been officially stamped, will be accepted.

“Both the opposition and the OSCE focused on a decision taken on Sunday by the High Electoral Board…he OSCE said the decision broke Turksh election law. The board “issued instructions late in the day that significantly changed the ballot validity criteria, undermining an important safeguard and contradicting the law,” the OSCE said…Opposition parties said that 1.5 million unstamped ballots had been illegally counted – enough to swing an election that had been decided by about 1.38 million votes, according to state news agency figures.” -quotes from the news of telegraph.co.uk

Another woman, Meral Aksener who seperated her political road from Turkish Nationalist Party MHP, like the other opponents was trying to reach to tv channels for hearing her voice, she was saying that, “Don’t leave the ballot boxes, there is huge manipulation from state news agency figures which were broadcasted on tv channels right now.”

Same night the people were on the streets in many city of Turkey, the women at the forefront, the people made the protest agaist the result of referandum and High Electoral Board of Turkey, YSK.

The writings on banners at referendum protests: “They will not able lock the women in homes” , “No means no.”

April 17-18, after referendum, Dr. Hulya Sen was on the roads towards to Ankara. She was making the statement to the local newspaper and she was saying that:

“High Electoral Board, YSK did not accept any objections, but we were expecting a different decision, you are seeing that the people gathering and saying they do not accept it. They want to walk with me, but I do not think it’s possible to walk together in the conditions of the OHAL (acronym of the state of emergency in Turkish). In fact, I think that it is not possible to propose a constitution under the conditions of OHAL. We are confronted with the imposition of a constitution without the internalization of the material, unless OHAL is removed and people have not discussed the constitutional amendment. Moreover, the election results are questionable.”

This has been subject to the OSCE report of referendum of Turkey:

“A failed coup attempt on 15 July 2016 left at least 241 people dead and 2,194 injured. In response to the attempted coup, as well as a wave of terror attacks that shook the country in 2016, the government declared a state of emergency on 21 July and extended it twice since, most recently for another 90 days starting on 19 January. Mass arrests and the prosecution under emergency decrees of over100,000 and continued detention of over 40,000 individuals, as well as dismissals of over 150,000 civil servants, followed. The state of emergency that restricted fundamental freedoms, as well as the ongoing security operations in the southeast that resulted in several hundred thousand people fleeing their homes, led to questions as to whether conditions were in place to permit a democratic referendum. In its opinion on the amendments to the Constitution, the Venice Commission noted that “the current state of emergency does not provide for the due democratic setting for a constitutional referendum.”

OSCE is continuing it’s report about campaigning of the parties:

“The campaign was characterized by the lack of a level playing field. The significantly more visible ‘Yes’ campaign, led by the governing AKP and to some extent the MHP, was supported by several leading national officials and many lower level public officials, including the prime minister and thepresident, who under the constitution is required to remain non-partisan and perform his duties without bias. These instances blurred the line between party and state… Supporters of the ‘No’ campaign faced a number of undue limitations on their freedom to campaign. Many ‘No’ campaigners suffered physical attacks. A high number were arrested, most often on charges of organizing unlawful public events or insulting the president. Some ‘No’ campaigners faced difficulties renting premises for events or had their events cancelled by the authorities or venue proprietors, often on short notice.”

Already another woman, Zeynep Altinok, who is Izmir deputy of main opponent party CHP had announced the balance of aggressive attitude over “No” supporters before the referendum.

According to Zeynep Altinok’s study, before referendum into two months, 213 people who were “no” campaigners and supporters were taken into custody; except the many knife attacks and injuries were made by “yes” supporters.

Also, some lines from her study,

“Prime Minister Binali Yildirim, accused the people who say “No” to support terrorism…

It was also forbidden to distribute brochure to the “No” supporters in the Istanbul subway, but at the same time the electricity of the stand of the “yes” supporters, was given by the subway…

The police could not tolerate the ‘No’ written on snow by Artvin-Cerattepe people. Police erased the “NO” writing on snow by intervening…”

The physical injuries that Zeynep Altinok mentioned in her study, continued on the day of the referendum according to the news;

“..when the objection to a ‘Yes’ vote was made with the reason it’s void by Melisa Yetin in Istanbul, it come to light that that both her and another woman offical Fatma Yilmaz was attacked and wounded. It has been suggested that the aggressor group was a member of AKP Kartal Esenlik Youth Branches….After they come out of hospital, they stated that “We were in charge for the Republic. The republic gave the freedom to women. If next sunday would be the election again, we are ready to work over…”

unnamed-png
After the attack, CHP ballot officer’s neck was crushed, and CHP deputy visited her house

An another woman who is CHP deputy, after the referendum day, was struggling with that,

CHP Manisa deputy Tur Yildiz Bicer asked about ‘the unstamped votes’ decision of YSK. She explained that she wanted a decision on the acceptance of the unstamped votes from YSK but she could not get a response. Tur Yildiz Bicer shared this message in a statement made on Twitter: “Today I applied to the YSK and asked the decision and circular letter about the acceptance of the unstamped votes; there is no decision, no circular letter and no answer!”

While these happened, an another woman, Burcu Celik who is HDP deputy was taken into custody.

According to news, Burcu Celik was arrested after she uncovered the doubts of the referendum results of Mus city, has also attracted attention.

And Dr. Hulya Sen has been walking, and the 4th day of her march, she gave this statement on another city’s local newspaper.

“I feel myself as millions on this road which I started alone. I’m not tired. This action is an objection, a rebellion. The public and I are calling the High Electoral Board, YSK members to resign. Because no law can be imposed by compulsion despite public. The laws and the constitutions are made by society. You also need to draw the boundaries of the people you authorized, so that you can be called a legal text. If it gives you unlimited authority, this is not a legal text anyway. So this is not a constitution. This is a project to enforce the legal framework of unconstitutional governance. The Turkish people are not the nation to accept to such a compulsion. I have not been able to find out who wrote this draft constitution already. We know that we can find the official records of who wrote all the constitutions written up to now, including the Rescript of Gulhane.(1839)”

referandumun-iptali-icin-istanbul-dan-ankara-9524574_o
She is welcomed by many people at different cities when she arrives

She countinued to her statement in another city,

“Now, even either YSK says “yes” or “no”, it has no judgement anymore. After that the decision of that authority, I think there is no judgement. I think YSK is invalid. In a place where the president doesn’t acknowledge the constitution, I do not acknowledge YSK.”

Thousands of people, like herself, were in the streets to signify that they did not accept YSK’s decision. YSK has not accepted to any objection for the referendum result, and many reputable legal experts of Turkey, indicated that YSK has to accept to objections. And according to them, YSK made a silent coup against the constitutional system.

The days and nights of last week, YSK is taking own share from the people’s refusal. Women are still on the front. For example, that old woman joined the daytime protests in front of the YSK, and says the following against YSK.

Translating her words in English shortly,

“They’re shamless. They are not embarrassed. Would that be so? I can not find anything to say. God da*n you, da*n you! You are reptiles, thieves, who get illegally. We want our votes, we do not want anything else! You can have the money that you have stolen, but you give us our votes! God da*n you! They’re relentless! They could not finish the country by eating! Fill your eyes with soil!

While Dr. Hulya Sen is on her march, the women of Anatolia are everywhere on the streets and they are resisting. They are writing an another page of history of Turkey. And it seems that the new page is on the begining yet. The women have been already expressing this on the streets with the slogan “this is just the beginning” with huge crowd last one week. There are still so many road they will take, also they are aware of it. They don’t seem to leave this road. Also as far as I know the women of Anatolia, they don’t withdraw under any conditions. Those who do not take the women reactions into account will certainly be doomed to absolute failure. On the other side, the women of Anatolia know better than anyone, Ataturk and his revolution has given the best rights for women, before many other countries in the world. Dr. Hulya Sen also stated she will finish her march tomorrow, April 23 National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, at Anitkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

A photo from yesterday protests. The writings on banner: Resist with book, resist with work; resist with hand and teeth; resist with hope, love and dream!

While she was on this road, I respect to her and the other honorable women of this planet. Besides, it should not be forgotten that, like Nazim Hikmet said: “A brave woman’s head is heavy on a coward man’s shoulder.”

Only one thing to do, say NO!

Wolfgang Borchert
Then There’s Only One Thing To Do! (1947)
Translated by Ryan Wilcox

You. Man at the machine and man in the workshop. If they order you
tomorrow to stop making water pipes and cook pots and start
making helmets and machine guns, then there’s only one thing to do:
Say NO!
You. Girl behind the counter and girl at the office. If they order
you tomorrow to fill hand grenades and mount scopes on sniper rifles,
then there’s only one thing to do:
Say NO!
You. Factory owner. If they order you tomorrow, to sell gun powder
instead of talcum powder and cocoa, then there’s only one thing to do:
Say NO!
You. Researcher in the laboratory. If they order you tomorrow, to
invent a new death to do away with old life, then there’s only one
thing to do:
Say NO!
You. Poet in your room. If they order you tomorrow not to sing
love songs, but songs of hate, then there’s only one thing to do:
Say NO!
You. Doctor at the sick bed. If they order you tomorrow to certify
men as fit for war, then there’s only one thing to do:
Say NO!
You. Minister in the pulpit. If they order you tomorrow to bless
murder and praise war as holy, then there’s only one thing to do:
Say NO!
You. Captain on the steamer. If they order you tomorrow not to
transport wheat but cannons and tanks, then there’s only one
thing to do:
Say NO!
You. Pilot at the airfield. If they order you tomorrow to carry
bombs and incineraries over cities, then there’s only one thing to
do:
Say NO!
You. Tailor at your table. If they order you tomorrow to start
sewing uniforms, then there’s only one thing to do:
Say NO!
You. Judge in your robe. If they order you tomorrow to report to
the military court, then there’s only one thing to do:
Say NO!
You. Man at the train station. If tomorrow they order you to
give the signal for the ammunition and the troop trains to
depart, then there’s only one thing to do:
Say NO!
You. Man in the village and man in the city. If they come for
you tomorrow and with your induction papers, then there’s
only one thing to do:
Say NO!

You. Mother in Normandy and mother in the Ukraine, you, mother
in Frisco and London, you, on the banks of the Huang Ho and the
Mississippi, you, mother in Nepal and Hamburg and Cairo and Oslo –
mothers in all regions on earth, mothers all over the world, if
they order you tomorrow to bear children – nurses for military
hospitals and new soldiers for new battles, mothers all over the
world, then there’s only one thing to do:
Say NO! Mothers, say NO!

Because if you don’t say NO, if YOU don’t say no, mothers, then;

then:

In the noisy port cities, hazy with steam, the large groaning ships
will grow silent, and like titanic, mammoth corpses, filled with
water, they will lethargically totter against the lifeless, lonely,
algae-, seaweed-, and shell-covered walls of the docks, the body
that previously appeared so gleaming and threatening now reaking
like a foul fish cemetery, rotten, sickly and dead –

the streetcars will be senselessly bent and dented like dull,
glass-eyed birdcages and lie like petals beside the confused, steel
skeletons of the wires and tracks, behind rotten sheds with holes
in their roofs, in lost, crater-strewn streets –

a mud-gray, heavy, leaden silence will roll in, voracious
and growing in size, will establish itself in the schools and
universities and theaters, on sport fields and children’s playgrounds,
horrible and greedy and unstoppable –

the sunny, juicy grapes will spoil on the neglected slopes, the rice
will dry up in the desolate earth, the potatoes will freeze in the
plowed fields and the cows will stretch their dead, rigid legs into
the sky like upturned milking stools –

in the institutions, the ingenious inventions of the great physicians
will become sour, rot, mold into fungus –

the last sacks of flour, the last jars of strawberries, the pumpkins
and the cherry juice will spoil in the kitchens, chambers and cellars,
in the cold storage lockers and storage areas – the bread under the
upturned tables and on splintered plates will become green and the
melted butter will smell like soft soap, the grain on the fields will
have bent down to the earth alongside rusty plows like a defeated army,
and the smoking, brick chimneys, the food and smokestacks of the stamping
factories, covered by eternal grass, will crumble, crumble, crumble –

then the last human being, clueless with slashed intestines and
polluted lungs, will wander alone under the poisonous, glowing sun and
vacillating constellations, wander lonely among immense mass graves and
cold idols of the gigantic, concrete-block, deserted cities, the
last human being, scrawny, mad, blasphemous, complaining – and his
terrible complaint: WHY? will trickle away unheard into
the steppe, waft through the burst ruins and die out in the rubble of
churches, slap against inpenetratable bunkers, fall into pools of blood,
unheard, answerless, the last animal-like cry of the last animal human being –

all of this will come about, tomorrow, tomorrow perhaps, perhaps
already tonight, if – if – if – you don’t
say NO.

The unknown series with WD, Part III

courage-the-cowardly-dog
The moment when I have read Migo’s explanations

You know my dear followers, I were disclosing the secrets about that alien Migo before in two times. I have checked today and I have seen only two posts I made about this subject: Part 1 and Part 2

It has been very long time after second one, I have realized now.

But today, I caught incredible opportunity about Migo’s hidden aims and for Part 3! Migo said following lines to an another wp blog writer:

I am not able to say the name of my origin planet. I can only say where it is. It is in open cluster NGC 265 at Small Magellanic Cloud galaxy. I cannot say it’s name, because the humans couldn’t discover it and give a name yet. If I say its name right now, before humans describe it, it can create paradox. Probably it wouldn’t be same with Grandfather paradox, but it will create a fluid motion in that direction that I pointed at. Noone is affected from this paradox, except me and the one who I said it’s name and the ones who heard this from us. Let’s we imagine this.

I say it’s name to you right now. You and the people who are following to you read this. Hundreds of years later someone reads our talks in the digital records. And he or she decides to give the same name which we talked about. At the moment when it’s name becomes definite as same my word hundreds of years later, you and me and the others would stuck between today and that time hundreds of years later. To realize that moment, we have to live again and again same things on this planet on this period. Do you want to see again and again Trump presidentship or anything else similar like that in an infinite loop? Like a nightmare, haha!

I don’t want to do this wrong to any Earthling friends.:)

Bull sh*t!

As far as I know Migo, Migo never says where his origin planet is. So what is his aim right now!

These are seeming like distortional words to confuse of the humans minds. But the most important question is why it is happening in todays? Why Migo needs to say these in these days? Why didn’t say anything about this before and he chose todays to explanation.

This is definitely about alien’s invasion! He is giving some clues and sending signals to his alien friends to invade of them to our beatiful planet! Maybe not today or not tomorrow, but this certainly will be close! Open your eyes!

Also, don’t worry I am watching his movements carefully, even Migo is not aware I watch him. I have my eye on him as always!

-WD, what are you doing?

-I am disclosing your nonsense to my dear followers like your words about where your planet is.

-Hmm, may I read, WD?

-Of course, here you may read.

-Hmm, it seems that you are complaining about my explanations.

-What! Migo, when I complained? These are the truths that you need to confess! When will your alien friends invade to our planet! Say it! Why you didn’t say anything about your origin planet before?

-You didn’t ask, WD. If you asked, I would say.

-What! I have asked many times, I remember.

-No, you are wrong, you never asked.

-Yes, I did.

-No, you didn’t.

-Yes, I did!

-No, you didn’t!

-Ohh no, this is one of your alien tricks, isn’t it! You alien! You are confusing my mind, and to cause to forget! I don’t buy this trick!

-You didn’t ask WD.

(after a short silence)

-Really? I didn’t ask this before, Migo?

-No. You never asked, WD. And, do you want to go out?

-Absolutely!

Half of Iraqi families at risk of hunger after years of war – U.N.

By Umberto Bacchi

ROME, April 10 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – More than half of Iraqi families are at risk of going hungry, a U.N. agency said on Monday, warning of “unprecedented levels of vulnerability” faced by the population due to years of conflict.

Most families in the country will no longer be able to feed themselves if basic food prices increase or fighting escalates, according to the World Food Programme (WFP).

“They can’t absorb any more shocks,” said WFP spokeswoman Dina El-Kassaby.

Conflict and instability have stifled food production in Iraq, according to the United Nations. Farmers face shortages of seeds and fertilizers and many have been forced to abandon their land or sell their animals.

A study by WFP and the Iraqi government found that 2.5 percent of the population, or more than 800,000 people, are going to bed hungry every night.

There are concerns this figure could increase, as two thirds of internally displaced people and more than half of Iraqis living in their homes have barely enough to feed themselves, said El-Kassaby.

Almost 75 percent of Iraqi children under the age of 15 are working to help their families put food on the table instead of going to school, WFP said.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev: ‘One Step Away From Military Clashes With Russia’

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev wrote these on his social facebook account.

“That’s it. The last remaining election fog has lifted. Instead of an overworked statement about a joint fight against the biggest enemy, ISIS (the Islamic State), the Trump administration proved that it will fiercely fight the legitimate Syrian government, in a tough contradiction with international law and without UN approval, in violation of its own procedures stipulating that the Congress must first be notified of any military operation unrelated to aggression against the US. On the verge of a military clash with Russia.
Nobody is overestimating the value of pre-election promises but there must be limits of decency.
Beyond that is absolute mistrust. Which is really sad for our now completely ruined relations. And which is good news for terrorists.
One more thing. This military action is a clear indication of the US President’s extreme dependency on the opinion of the Washington establishment, the one that the new president strongly criticised in his inauguration speech. Soon after his victory, I noted that everything would depend on how soon Trump’s election promises would be broken by the existing power machine. It took only two and a half months.”

Third World War is coming???

Boring day

c8a

I am so bored today. As if an ordinary day, not seems like April 1. I don’t find anyone to make a joke fittingly to the today’s soul. And, Migo is not helpful to me. I am so bored!

I have read my daily horoscope analysis today as I have read everyday morning. This is important for me, I read every morning what my horoscope say to me for that day. It creates good effect especially to meet “right” lady dogs.

Migo doesn’t believe any horoscope. Already he hasn’t got any beliefs, you know. At the begining, I have insisted on some points for getting some beliefs of him. Because my zodiac sign is Taurus, and according to horoscope analysis, one of my features is persistence. (For the record, my birthday is May 12, all good foods and beer are accepted on that day:))

But I’ve gave up to insist, after all my rising sign of my horoscope is Libra. And according to analyses of a dog who is Taurus and Libra rising sun, we are harmony with world, and an awareness of beauty, of relationship, of style, and how things fit or blend together. That’s why I gave up obstinacy, even it has happened in one week after I met Migo. What could I have done, my dear followers, I have faced to face with an alien!

Anyway, according to my horoscope for today, “Tackle things that require high energy today, Taurus. This is your day to make short work of chores, errands, or any sort of physical activity. Patience is the thing that you will lack, if anything, but don’t worry, because your strengths lie elsewhere now. Your heart is apt to sing once you get going on a personal project about which you feel passionate.”

So, this day could be the day that I can meet with my soul mate! But I didn’t go out yet. And my heart is apt to sing! Bone god damn it! I’ve only heard the birds’ tweets today. By the way, I hate the birds, especially the sparrows; they are so much happy digressively. Also they don’t know where they can do their poops! I don’t even mention seagulls. In these days, mother or father seagulls are preaparing the child seagulls for flying. They do give the fly training to them. But they don’t care we are sleep or not at very early hours in mornings! Do I have to wake up with seagulls’ crazy sounds in every morning! Even, as far I understood from their voices, the new generation of seagulls could be stupid, they cannot learn the fly technics with one or two lessons.

Did I say, I am so bored today? What kind of April Fools’ Day this is, if there is no joke? And my soul mate could be anywhere out right now, and could be waiting for me. I need to go out right now! MIGOOO!
