A wolf and a bear can be friend with each other?

So, Turks and Russians.

For the ancient Slavs, the bear was sign of the strength traditionally. Even they hung over the talisman to baby-boy’s neck and he always carried it over him when he grown up. That mean was “he was healthy, strong and not afraid of anything”. So, the bear came as a symbol of Russia until today.

The other side, the wolf is symbol of Turks.
Turks’ history in Central Asia is very ancient. Nearly 4,000 years of their history has spent at there. And most common mythological element of them is wolf. Because, according to the myth, one Khan was found and raised by a female wolf. And Turks are always seeing equivalent themselves with the wolf figure. It is a fact unknown too much of the western world. Even in my opinion, Turks are most upset to what happened of the Stark family in Game of Thrones.:)

After these many explanations, on December 1, prior to Putin visit to Turkey, let’s look at his interview to the Turkish news agency Anatolian Agency.

Ahead of the state visit to the Republic of Turkey, Vladimir Putin gave an interview to Anadolu Agency.

QUESTION: What specific objectives in political, economic and cultural spheres of Russian-Turkish relations will you set during the meeting of the High-Level Cooperation Council? Why do the bilateral relations remain generally warm despite political differences in some regional issues?

VLADIMIR PUTIN…Due to the common efforts we took in recent years, our relations have been developing constructively on the basis of mutual confidence, good neighbourliness, equality and mutual respect of interests.
Together with President of Turkey Mr Recep Tayyip Erdogan we are going to discuss the main issues of Russian-Turkish cooperation, including the implementation of strategic joint projects in the energy sector. We are going to review the results of our cooperation over the last year and outline future tasks. And of course, we will exchange views on key international and regional problems.
Turkey has been and remains an important foreign trade partner for Russia. In 2013, our bilateral trade turnover reached $32.7 billion. The accumulated Russian direct investments in Turkey exceed $1.7 billion, and similar Turkish investments in Russia are close to $1 billion. We are both interested in maintaining this positive trend…
…Over the recent decades, Turkey has been one of the countries most visited by Russian tourists. This is greatly facilitated by a visa-free regime for short term trips. Around 4.3 million Russians visited Turkey in 2013, while the number of visitors in January-September of this year already reached 4.1 million people. We expect that the announcement of reciprocal years of tourism in our countries will allow us to significantly increase the flow of tourists, and for our part, we will always be glad to welcome Turkish guests….
Due to such intensive multidimensional ties, Turkish–Russian relations remain stable, not depending on the current situation and maintaining continuity. Naturally, our positions on some issues might not be exactly the same or may even differ. This is natural for states carrying out independent foreign policy. At the same time and above all, we understand the importance of partnership between our countries and our peoples and a common desire to continue the mutually beneficial dialogue, which is highly appreciated by Russia…

QUESTION: What possibilities do you in Russia see for increasing trade between our two countries and what figures can be achieved?

VLADIMIR PUTIN: We highly value independent decisions by Turkey, including on economic cooperation with Russia. Our Turkish partners refused to sacrifice their interests for somebody else’s political ambitions. I consider that to be a really well-weighed and far sighted policy.
The position of your government opens up new opportunities for increasing bilateral trade. First of all, it allows the Turkish farmers to fill in the emerging niches on Russia’s huge food market. We welcome their intentions to export more meat, dairy and fish products, vegetables, and fruits to Russia.
Hopefully, together we will be able to increase our mutual trade and enhance the quality of investment cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of Russia and Turkey. We have already agreed with Mr Recep Tayyip Erdogan that we can bring our mutual trade up to $100 billion (in 2013, it amounted to $32.7 billion)…

QUESTION: How do you assess the current state of affairs in Syria? Does Russia have any suggestions on how to speed up the settlement process in that country?

VLADIMIR PUTIN: The situation in Syria remains source of serious concern. And we are fully aware of the burden imposed on Turkey by the on-going violent conflict ravaging your neighbours. What is more, the main risk of further aggravation of the situation both in this country and in neighbouring states stems from the activities of the so-called Islamic State and other radical groups that were once actively employed by some Western countries, which flirted with them and encouraged them.
We consider the fight against terrorists and extremists in the Middle East and North Africa, including naturally Syria, a region struck by upheavals, a priority task for the international community. We are convinced that the efforts to deter this threat should be based on the UN Security Council resolutions, strict compliance with international law, the principles of state sovereignty and non-interference in internal affairs of states in the first place. And what is important – this should be done transparently and without any hidden agenda.
We, for our part, will further support governments of Syria, Iraq and other regional states in countering extremists. On the whole, we believe it is important to address numerous regional problems comprehensively, based on an in depth analysis of threats existing in the Middle East and North African region in all their complexity. It is evident, for example, that the protracted Arab-Israeli conflict and the failure to settle the Palestinian problem are being employed by extremists in order to recruit new supporters, especially among young people…

And, yes, “A wolf and a bear can be friend with each other”.

For this, it is enough to look to 4,000 years history. Or we don’t look back that’s old. There is a monument in Taksim square- Istanbul- Turkey. That monument tells a lot. Two Russian generals are standing behind Ataturk, the father of Turks, in monument since 1928.

“How did we come to these days?” If one day this question would be asked to the US government, following response can be given.

British imperialism has been running for 250 years in this region. The all US governments, significantly after the World War II, undertook the task of carrying the flag of British imperialism in the region. This flag is a bloody flag. And all the people in the area know the pain of this flag. With the Truman Doctrine, you brought forward a religion against to an idea. (Green Belt project against communism) Two ideas can be discussed. However, you motivated a religious faith against to an idea. You have created the organizations (both religion’ and so-called political, who wants to democracy or freedom), and dozens war was experienced for this. Placing something an irrational against to an idea, you’ve betrayed both yourself and the American people. And we live today’s. Remember, an eastern proverb says that: “If you fired a weapon in the past, that bullet will turn back to you at the future.”

That the world as we know it will be coming to an end, have you heard?

…Have you seen what they said on the news today?
Have you heard what they said about us all?
Do you know what is happening to just every one of us
Have you heard, have you heard?…

“When the wild wind blows” is a song that made by Steve Harris, which was added to “The Final Frontier” album in 2011. Song lyric tells that how the mankind will mess the earth up with a nuclear blast. Especially, when “the nuclear weapon”words are heard in every time, this song would echo in the brain cells. As result, it’s so good.

In addition, we see that Steve Harris seriously affected the animation, which was made by Japanese-born American animator and director Teruaki “Jimmy” Murakami`s When the Wind Blows in 1986. The good works nourish to the good work.

Anyway, what were we saying? Up the Irons! 🙂

If you can find the strength to challenge to the occupation which is made unjustly, you don’t need a name to be a hero

August 1967 and September 1967. So, there is one more year to finish United States air assault operation “Rolling Thunder” which has started in March 2, 1965. When the operation began, there were three main purposes.
-put pressure on the North Vietnamese leadership and force him to give up fighting in South Vietnam
-destroy North Vietnam’s transport system to obstruct the transfer of military materials in South Vietnam
-provide psychological support for the South Vietnamese government

However, when the operation was finished, in November 2 1968, it turned out that Operation «Rolling Thunder» was the longest bombing campaign after the World War II. As result, about 200,000 civilian Vietnamese died. United States casualties, not civilian, 1,084 died, captured, or missing and 938 aircraft lost, during in these 1930 days.

North-Vietnam pilot Nguyen Nhat Trieu in the first photo, was a child of a poor family. Even if his surname is Trieu, (Trieu is a name of a dynasty in Vietnam and it is very common) he was not rich. He completed his first education in difficulty, and then he enlisted in the army. He had received training to use Mig-21 at Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School, Soviet Union in 1966, with other colleagues selected for pilot training. He started to use MiG-21 as from 7 July 1966. Before this date, he was using MiG-17. And his first successful shot has been July 11, 1966. F-105D “Thunderchief” (Wi. No. 61-0121, 355th Tactical Fighter Squadron US Air Force) shot down by him. F-105D fell on the territory of Laos as a result of consuming the fuel. US pilot was saved.

The reason for the publication of this photo is the events, what happened at the day, August 23, 1967. That day, in August 23, 1967, he shot total of 6 aircraft down, including 4 Phantom, 2 Thunderchief.

Let’s see what is writing under the first photo; with English translations.

“Nguyen Nhat Trieu shot six US-Eng aircraft down. He won his victory on August 23, 1967 over the sea. Americana has considered that F-105D was hit by anti-aircraft missile, not K-13; Nguyen did was revealed with the MiG-21. Shortly after, comrade Trieu fired 20 mm gun of MiG-21 accidentally; Vietnamese Nguyen Nhat Trieu was knocked down.”

He’s dead…

His life was filled with true success. He struggled that one more civilian Vietnamese should not die. He fought for that the public doesn’t poison with Agent Orange or others in the air raids. Maybe one more Vietnamese child wasn’t lost with the reason of his fight. Perhaps, under favour of him and the brave Vietnamese heroes, the number about 200,000 death toll, which is pronounced like very few, hasn’t further increased…

Second hero at the second photo; she was just an unnamed girl.

Vietnamese people did not have the opportunity to make their advertising in dozens of daily newspapers. The number of people, who can see the photos where came from the battle front, was very few. Did you say psychological operations? Yes, maybe, if a little girl is seen to have taken hostage to one US officer, who was in US forces attack, this could affect them.

Let’s see again what is writing under the second photo; with English translations.

“17 September 1967. The reconnaissance plane RF-4C, wing-No:65-0894, of the 11th Intelligence Squadron 432nd Tactical Wing scouting the US Air Force, was shot down off 25 miles south west of Hanoi. The crew of Major John Edward Stavast and 1st Lt. Gerald S. Venanzi were ejected. The picture shows a girl escorting 1st Lieutenant Gerald S. Venanzi.”

It is unknown what happened to this little girl. Already she is unnamed. But it is clear that her looks fearless. In fact, to survive in the war in so many year, is related with this, isn’t it?

The captured person at the photo is John Edward Stavast, who was a pilot United States Air Force. After he was captured, he spent 5 and half years as prisoner in Hanoi. After he released in March 14, 1973, he returned to army, but not active. And two years later, war is over.

Those happened in Vietnam were not a heroism racing. Looking at three persons in two photos, this unnamed girl is one of real hero of public is understood. Because, after a while looking at these pictures, only she is sticking in the mankind’s minds. Two fighter pilots at one side; a little girl, who is holding gun fearlessly at the other side. It appears that if you can find the strength to challenge to the occupation which is made unjustly, you don’t need a name to be a hero.

To all unnamed heroes in Vietnam War, with respect…

Russian style:) ‘If you want to fly, give the plane a push’

An airplane has never so much supported by the people on the planet 🙂

Hardy Siberians undaunted by aircraft frozen on tarmac as temperatures sank to a biting minus 52C

When their plane literally froze on the ground at Igarka airport, above the Arctic Circle, there was no need to panic. Fearing the UTair service to regional capital Krasnoyarsk could be delayed, many of the 70 passengers used brute strength to free the 30-ton Tupolev 134.

Men are heard shouting: ‘Come on, push!’ As one was heard saying on a video of the incident: ‘Real men can plant a tree, build a house, and push a plane.’

Another added: ‘We just want to get back home.’

The passengers pushed the plane’s wings, moving it backwards.

By The Siberian Times reporter: ‘If you want to fly, give the plane a push’.

Amnesty Press Release – DRC: Belgian mining giant lied over bulldozing homes

First cut the trees, then kick the people out their home. This is the capitalism. The same thing is happening in everywhere, where is far away from the west eyes. Human rights mean is not only rights for yourself. One day, same threat may be knock at your home; maybe it will come in different ways, but surely it will.

A Belgian mining company, Groupe Forrest International, has consistently lied about the bulldozing of hundreds of homes in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and has denied justice to those affected, said Amnesty International today in a new report.

Bulldozed: How a mining company buried the truth about forced evictions in the Democratic Republic of the Congo provides satellite imagery and other new evidence, exposing how the company’s subsidiary, Entreprise Général Malta Forrest (EGMF), supplied bulldozers that were used to unlawfully demolish homes and forcibly evict hundreds of people living next to the company’s Luiswishi mine in Kawama, Katanga in 2009. It also details how the companies and the Congolese government have obstructed attempts to achieve justice for the villagers ever since.

“There is now overwhelming and irrefutable evidence showing that the forced evictions that Groupe Forrest International has denied for years in fact took…

Game controller takes your real blood whenever you lose

The computer games evolution, which is exactly what the earth needs :))

news from :    http://www.engadget.com/2014/11/24/blood-sport/

Forget playing games for cash — if you really want to raise the stakes, try losing your actual blood when you lose in the virtual world. That’s the concept behind Blood Sport, a crowdfunded project that modifies game controllers to drain your body when your character takes damage. Their Arduino-based technology turns a gamepad’s rumble signals (which often indicate that you’ve been hit) into commands for a blood collection machine. In theory, every digital punch or gunshot draws some of the red stuff from your arm. And before you ask: Blood Sport limits transfers based on your age, medical conditions and weight, so you won’t pass out just because your gaming skills aren’t up to snuff…
